AustriaGreat accommodation with a beautiful lake view! A big shout-out to the staff, who were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and more than enough. We even had dinner at the on-site restaurant, and it was exceptional. The only minor thing is the traffic noise coming from the main street, but it’s ok if you’re not noise-sensitive.

Good location - it is close to the Lion Rock.
There is a big gift shop and a nice cafe with hammock in 5 minute walk.
Very peaceful and beautiful place.
The guy from hotel kindly helped me to organise transport to Trincomalee. People who work there are very welcoming.
The room was clean and spacious with good furniture, stylish. Good bathroom with hot water.
The bed had a mosquito net.
There was coffee, tea and kettle inside the room.
They provide breakfast with the view over Lion Rock which is very beautiful.

AustraliaWe had such a wonderful stay here. The staff are so lovely and helpful will everything you could need. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, good aircon and spacious size. The pool area is beautiful and very well maintained. The food was delicious and very well priced. The owner will organise anything you want to do - we did a safari which was amazing and well organised, picked up and dropped back off at the hotel and all tickets etc was sorted for us. The hotel organised amazing tours of Mihintale and the ancient temples with tuk tuk guide named Jaya - make sure to request Jaya as your tour guide! He was very kind and knowledgeable and we had the best time with him touring the beautiful temples.

JapanThe big clean room and the great breakfast, the lovely swimming pool and the amazing view of the lion Rock. And the soursop juice is a must try. Sweet andq sour with aq hit of salty that is great for the wheather.
Highly recommend! It is a very new hotel. All the facilities works well. Hot Water! Air conditioning and the pool. The pool is a real angel after a hiking or lion rock or a half day safari. It makes our stay very relexing.
You can ask the hotel help on Safari booking which may be a slightly expensive than the street, however they got us a very expensive guide who has been working as a guide 10 yrs. We got to see a lot of elephants, peecocks, birds in just 3 hours. They almost always the first jeep to spot/trecking the elephants that makes us a great spots to get our photos.

Our room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cozy. The common areas were equally lovely — ideal for both moments of peace and time together as a family. Whether it was a kind gesture at breakfast or a friendly chat at reception, we felt seen, valued, and cared for, especially my 15 months old daughter!

Our visit to Kandy was truly wonderful, offering a perfect blend of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and modern convenience. The city is a joy to explore, and we found it remarkably easy to get around. One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the iconic Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Maligawa) and taking a relaxing stroll around the picturesque Kandy Lake. We also loved exploring the serene Udawatte Kele Sanctuary, which felt like a peaceful escape. For those interested in the region's history, the Hanthana Tea Museum and the Kandy Wax Museum were both fascinating, and the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens were an absolute must-see with their stunning and diverse flora. The dining scene in Kandy was delightful. For lunch, we enjoyed a delicious and authentic meal at the Sri Ramya Hotel in town. For a special evening, we had dinner at Sams restaurant, which offered not only great food but also a fantastic view of the city. We also grabbed a quick bite at the restaurant on the top floor of KCC, which was very convenient. Getting around the city was surprisingly simple. The PickMe and Uber apps work well, and we found that tuk-tuks are readily available and very affordable, making it easy to hop between different attractions. While traveling without young children, we believe Kandy offers many family-friendly activities. The Hanthana Tea Museum, Kandy Wax Museum, and the beautiful botanical gardens are all engaging spots that would surely be enjoyed by families. There is so much more to do in this area than I realised. I will definitely come back. The area is beautiful and we were sad to leave. We dud Pidurangala Rock which was fun, more of an adventurous climb than Lions Rock. It has incredible views of Lions Rock. We also did a safari in Minneriya National Park. The park was beautiful and we saw so many elephants plus lots of varieties of birds, golden jackals, monkees, mongoose, the grizzled giant squirrel, buffalo and jungle foul. We also went to Dambula Temple Caves which is very spiritual and Luckgrove Spice Gardens which was an incredible experience. Highly recommend this area.Guest review byHazelIreland - 10.0
Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place.
Anuradhapura is an amazing and spiritual place. It's different from the other sites in Sri Lanka because it still attracts so many pilgrims to its religious sites. It's a good idea to dedicate one day to visiting the active pilgrimage sites and the next to the historical sites, for which you need a ticket. Remember to cover up with long trousers and sleeves and don't forget your socks, because the ground is really hot and you have to take off your shoes everywhere. If you have an extra day, you can also return to the sites at night, which is when pilgrims light candles. Make sure you've got the Pick Me app installed and look out for a tuk tuk driver called Nisha. He's absolutely amazing: great driver, kind and attentive and with good English. For dinner, the atmospheric Hotel Shalini is a good bet. The Seedevi family restaurant is another good place. We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. Half a day was enough as the sun was out and draining. At the last stop in Polonnaruwa where you have the temple there was a young man sketching and painting. A beautiful place on earth that there are lots of 360 degree view points. But if it rains it will ruin your plans. So make sure you depend on weatherly and visit Matale when it shows many continuous sunny days.
