Tokyo is just impressive. At the beginning it can be a little bit too much but don't worry you get used to it pretty fast. You can easily hop around the different cities of the metropolitan by using one of the various metros and change places in short time. Yokohama is a great city. We took the train from Narita airport, which was easy and quick.The harbour and park areas are breathtaking We had 3 days, could have had an extra day. Transport by bus is easy with information given by the hotel and cheap. Taxis not so much! There is plenty to do and see, especially if you like walking. The New Hotel Grande is right next to Chinatown, which was great for food, but the restaurants serve a lot of cold food, so you need to specify. Hakone is a beautiful region with accessible transport with beautiful scenery and beautiful views of amount Fuji. The onsens are very relaxing. Food is great. Hakone Yumoto station area has many interesting shops. Getting here is easy via Romance express, just under 90mins from Shinjuku. The region had became very popular with tourists. Chiba is an amazing city and because Star Wars Celebration 2025 was held there this year, I had to come and visit. The city is only about an hour away from Tokyo and going there from Chiba was easy to do. Locally speaking, Chiba offers many different places to eat (some of the best donuts I've ever had came from a donut shop called Uni Donuts close to the hotel I stayed at) and a cool Anime hobby store.Guest review byOliver - 10

The Toshugo shrine was amazing and well worth the trip. If you travel on to Takayama I recommend seeing the one tenth scale model of the shrine complex which is almost unbelievable in its detail and precision. Nikko is quite a sleepy town and many restaurants shut very early so I recommend making a reservation. The Nikko pass is worth purchasing, we enjoyed a day sightseeing on the local buses and trains. We were attending a event in Kawasaki so that is why we stayed there. We didn't really do much sight-seeing in Kawasaki. We liked that the city was only a short train ride to many other cities like downtown Toyko and Yokohama. We liked the room it was quite spacious. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was an easy bus ride from the main station and there were many restaurants nearby.
