I’ve traveled around the world and stayed in many hotels, but this one truly stood out — especially for a 3-star hotel. What was extraordinary was the cleanness. From the moment you walk in until you leave, everything is spotless — absolutely pristine. The cleanliness here surpasses even what I’ve experienced in some 4-star and even 5-star hotels in other countries. The service was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly, hospitable, and professional. The food was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. They even offered a welcoming drink at check-in, which was such a thoughtful touch. The furniture was modern, clean, and well-maintained — everything looked new and cared for. The air conditioning was new and worked perfectly, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. Another plus: free parking and a complimentary mini bar (we didn’t use it, but it’s a generous gesture). These small things add up to a big difference. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. For a 3-star rating, they offer 4-star (and at times even 5-star) quality in terms of service, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Truly a wonderful experience!

The location of Petra Moon Luxury was amazing. The rooms were clean, spacious and exactly what we needed after a long day of trekking. The rooftop pool makes it the perfect choice for our trip. Since we were short on time, it was the staff who made it truly unforgettable - upon their advice we entered Petra around 13h30 (1pm) "from the back", meaning starting with the highest point, walking down (after a 50 min hike and a short bus ride) - which was totally worth it. Thank you for your great advice and this unforgettable stay.

Cleanliness. Lavish and customised breakfast as my family is pure Veg from India. Beautiful interiors and exterior.(theme based) View are good of whole petra city from top. Wallking distance to petra heritage site . Reception staff was very friendly and professional. Excellent English . Bathroom and room were well cleaned.cafe interior was superb. Delicious breakfast. Big Supermarket for any daily needs is nearby at walking distance. Bang on main road .

excellent value for money with great location, very close to restaurants and shops.The hotel was very clean and had great views of Petra. The owners were very friendly and there was free transport to and from the Petra Visitor Center. They were willing to assist you with everything and even liaised with locals to ease our stay. Overall excellent value for money and nice bfast.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights. After the first night in the twin room with a mountain view (the one we booked), we got an upgrade to a king room with a mountain view which we highly appreciated. This room was fabulous -tidy, spacious, the fridge, the tea kettle and the best view ever. We watched the sunrise and the sunset from our private balcony. The beds were comfortable to have a good quality sleep. The new hotel is owned by the family and all the members work together to take care of it. Upon arrival we were introduced to most of them. The family are sociable, helpful, ready to assist if you need anything. Mother (um Sohip -I'm not sure if I have written the name correctly) cooks tasty dinners with vegetables and olives from their own garden and the orchard. The surroundings are very well taken care of - the olive trees, roses, cactuses. The hotel owners have two dogs (we saw just one), very friendly cats (which will not bother you if you are not a cat person, though), two beautiful horses. During our stay we took a day trip to Wadi Ghuweir (highly recommended!!!) , an hour's drive from the hotel to Wadi Ghuweir parking lot, explored the village of Dana.

    The best location in Petra, just at the entrance. What a nice feeling to see our terrace each time we come back from the long walk. Staff are excellent, all very friendly and helpful. We were so happy they upgraded the room when we arrived, it has a big terrace with a nice view of the sunset. Great shower, comfortable bed. Food is amazing, with a lot of varieties. It's recommended to book a half board. The breakfast crew, Amer and the team are so lovely, as well as dinner is always enjoyable. The reception also arranged our trip back to Amman, with the kindest driver taking us on the scenic route.

    We weren’t sure what to expect at Dana Tower Hotel and the pictures don’t do it justice. We originally booked for one night but loved it so much we changed our plans and stayed for two. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a nice bed and a surprisingly high-end bathroom and manages to keep an authentic feel. Hazem and Salma treated us like family from the moment we arrived. I can’t recommend it warmly enough

    The place is beautiful, located in between the reddish mountains of Petra. Amazing atmosphere - all we need while experiencing nature. Muhammed was extremely friendly, and went out of his way to make us happy. The beautiful Bedouin sitting area was warm and cozy - perfect for our Winter stay. The food was delicious and our children (11, 11, 9) were very pleased (and they are hard to please...).

    Just 3 minutes walk from the main antrance to the Perta visitor center. We booked the option with breakfast and dinner. The dinner was good and huge, no way to eat all :-) Friendly staff, big comfortable room and clean bathroom. You can park a car on the street or on a free parking space close to the Petra entrance. Very good experience, thank you ;-)

    Really nice stay in this family run hotel. The room was very comfortable and cozy at night. It was perfect for a stay of 2/3 nights. The bed was also very comfortable. The views from the restaurant on the top floor were amazing. Would definitely recommend seeing the sunset from there.

    Probably my rating or comment is not suitable for every travelers as foreigner but living in Jordan for long time. Definitely, I need 5 star hotels in Dead Sea or Aqaba to refresh myself and my family regularly. But Dana is a great place to also have regular visit as it is located within 2.5 hours range from my home in Amman, and to experience this great nature in reasonable expense. After over 10 years of staying in this country, as a person like to sleep under the millions of stars, Dana is most frequently visited location at the recent years of my life in Jordan.

    we have encountered fraudulent behavior on the part of the accommodation operator. after making the reservation via "booking.com" we arrived to the location - meeting with the resort representative "Ahmad" we were taken to another camp resort ( very old, nor matching the pictures during the booking, empty ) being told that the other "camp" is full... but 1 room could still be found - as long as we're happy to pay double price. We accepted as we're in the middle of desert. But this was clearly deliberate fraudulent conduct. Our recommendation would be for Booking.com not to keep contractual relationship with such accommodation providers.

    Petra is always a magical place in your imagination.

    Petra is always a magical place in your imagination. However it does not compare to the real thing! No matter how vivid your imagination! You need at least two whole days if not three to really enjoy the sights of Petra. We stayed a short distance away from the visitor center closer to the town centre where there are lovely restaurants and a more local vibe. It's better to take it easier and absorb the local culture and ancient history.

    The reserve is beautiful.

    The reserve is beautiful. We spent 3 days hiking and hardly saw any other people. Amazing colors and sweeping vistas. Definitely go with a knowledgeable guide to get the best experience. Stay at the Jabal Dana Hotel for great views and amazing food.

    Petra Great place to visit. 2 days stay would be right. Petra by Night show is a complete waste of time and money. Avoid doing this. 17 JOD per person. There is actually no proper show. Lasted only 30 minutes.

    Pay attention to the weather conditions depending on the time of year. We had to abandon the hike due to heavy rain 3 days before (end of February/beginning of March). Our host recommended doing this hike after March 15 and ideally in May.

    Great location right next to little Petra and 5 minutes from...

    Great location right next to little Petra and 5 minutes from Petra. Suggest you take a car to the top (Rear) of Petra and enter near the monastery then walk down hill towards the entrance as it is a big day of walking. Hotel has lovely staff and very helpful. Every night was a large outdoor fire with tea service and music while the hills had lights on them for great photos. Suggest spending two nights in this hotel min maybe 3-4 nights to experience all the surround areas.
