It's lively during the day and has a travel atmosphere at night. Although the terrace is shared, it is very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast served at the cafe below is simple but delicious. Currently, you can't go into the mud hot springs, but there were a lot of people there, so I went in. There are hot springs, the ocean, and a rocky mountain that you can climb that resembles a volcano, making it a convenient and fun place rich in nature. There is also a supermarket nearby. Lipari Island seems to be popular, but I love this island! I stayed in 14 places on my first trip to Sicily and Vulcano was really good.Guest review byYukoJapan

The staff is very friendly and helpful, they were always there for us. Also, Lorena is a wonderful person, she recommended us where to go to dinner and what we must see on the island, she arranged a car rental for us and she was always taking care of the guests. The hotel is very beautiful and very romantic. It has a pool, beautiful gardens, terraces and also a place with sunbeds next to the beach where you can see the Vulcano while relaxing. Firstly, its location is great, it's just few minutes from the port, up to 10-15 minutes to the beach, there are 2 good supermarkets just a minute from there, right opposite to the accomodation is great gelateria and it is even on the way to the summit od the vulcano. Secondly, it looks absolutely beautiful and marvelous to the last detail. Rooms were really clean and beds were comfortable. And the whole staff was extremely nice and helpfull, they were at our service the whole time. We will stay here again for sure, if we come back. Allhough we chose the smallest room, it was big enough to fit three people comfortably. The balcony was great for an evening chill. After seing the rest of the harbour area we agreed that the location couldn't be better. Incredible wee island.
Incredible wee island. Loved that you could cycle everywhere easily, there were lots of mini adventures to be had e.g. Vulcanello crater, snokelling, Monte Saraceno, Capo Grillo viewpoint & of course the Vulcano crater hike. I love Volcano.
I love Volcano. The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere has brought me back half a dozen times and it never fails to delight. Sadly Maurizio's restaurant is no longer in operation but there are still some other places to eat that don't disappoint. Walking up the volcano is always fun, though they have restricted access to the zone of the fumaroles now, and the mud-pools have been closed completely. I was told this is because they have got too hot. We also went to visit the cat colony who are situated on Vulcanello, and was pleased to see that they have been moved to more comfortable quarters. Swimming in the sea - especially where it's sprinkled with hot bubbles - is always a delight. The Spiaggia Nera (black-sand beach) has not hot bubbles but is really pleasant. My only gripe with Vulcano (and the whole of Sicily) is that there is too much litter everywhere. It could really do with a good clean-up. The friendly, relaxed people go a long way towards making up for it ... maybe if they weren't so relaxed they would organise some clean-ups!Guest review byWendy TeasdillUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Spiaggia delle Acque Calde is a must-go place, probably the only place in the world with sulphuric gas coming out from the seabed to warm the water like a natural jacuzzi. The mudpool next to it is also very good, it might look dirty from outside but once you are in it, it gets less smelly of sulphur and you feel like having a caffe latte bath!Guest review byRWUnited Kingdom
