- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 198 reviewsThe best "normally priced" hotel we have stayed in so far. Spa & wellness has totally exceeded our expectations with great selection of saunas, pool you can actually swim in, nice whirlpools, fitness and even a quiet area. Breakfast had great selection and coffee was very tasty. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff was very nice. But the feature that really elevated this hotel were the stunning mountains that surround the town of Colfosco (and this is coming from a guy living in the alpine region). The views are just amazing in all directions. We were staying in the hotel out of season (end of September) and there was still so much to do (hiking, climbing, biking, tasting good food and beer, spending afternoon in spa,...). Definitely coming back.Guest review byAljošaSlovenia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 290 reviewsWe were greeted with a very warm welcome at reception. The hotel is super clean, our room was beautiful and big, with a balcony that had a stunning view of the mountains. I chose the hotel for the location, views and the wellness centre and it didn’t disappoint. The wellness centre was perfect just what we needed after long days on the mountains, I even managed to fit in a lovely massage. The sky terrace has the best views, best place to relax. The food was really good with a buffet every evening before the courses began. The staff were all really friendly. Will be back for sureGuest review byTraceyUnited Kingdom

If you like a quieter and more peaceful place to stay in I would choose Badia. Corvara was quite touristy. Also unfortunately Corvara does not have a well stocked supermarket, there is a DeSpar but it’s quite sad. There are two bakeries which are nice ones in Corvara. Food options are mostly only Italian foodGuest review byGulzarIndia - 10.0

We quite liked the village - it felt nicer than most other villages in the surrounding area. This is because it is a bit bigger than most and has more traditional town layout (instead of being village lined out next to the main street). Architecture is mostly traditional, which gives it the right alpine village vibe. There is a good choice for places to eat and a decent SPAR store. Ski lift is nearby. It seems that every other house is a hotel or a guest house, so finding the right accommodation should be fairly easy.Guest review byJanisLatvia - 10.0
Colfosco is great for the views.
Colfosco is great for the views. Amazing if you stay in a place with a view of the mountains. Limited restaurant options. Blackhill was our favorite. The market in Corvara was better for groceries. The town is a good base for driving to some of the most popular hikes in the Dolomites. While my dad called it Cold-fosco, because we seemed to be getting more wind than some other towns in nearby valleys, It is also true that we had a pretty cold September all over the area.Guest review byWriterGuyColombia - 10.0
San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area...
San Cassiano is a great place to stay in the Alta Badia area of the Dolomites. You are surrounded by the start of some great hiking trails and they are easy to access. It's a smaller village located closer to the Falzarego Pass and the Piz Sorega Cable Car. There are PLENTY of trails to find yourself on here. If you are staying at a local inn, make sure to try local ladin dishes and ask about the local dialect! You won't regret it. For solo female travelers the area is perfect, as I personally felt safe on the trails. Locals are friendly and you get some wonderful views of the surrounding dolomiti peaks.Guest review byKimberlykepharttravelsUnited States - 10.0

La Villa is a relatively small town near Corvara which is a well known large town. It is beautiful everything is slightly cheaper than Corvara and not so busy. The views are picturesque the restaurants are great and it’s not too far from passo Pordoi etc We recommend going in June or July before the chaos of August. It’s our favourite place to go and we will be returning.Guest review byLindaAustralia - 6.0

I did not really explore the locale ... struck me as not a huge amount to do - but I was very happy with the facilities at the Hotel Melodia. Lots of varied skiing - a car makes things very much easier than having to rely on local shuttles.Guest review byMr M to you.Malaysia - 10.0
Probably the best place to ski where we have been so far.
Probably the best place to ski where we have been so far. Large area, not too crowdy, slopes exactly to our taste (means blue and red :-) ). Well organised. Not sure where to park if you come late to the lift, but it was not our case.Guest review byAlenaCzech Republic - 6.0

La Vall is a good destination for vacations, but it is not a good choice for skiing because it is far from the ski lift and the ski bus does not go very often, so the journey to the ski lift takes a long time.Guest review byJasminaSerbia - 10.0
Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area.
Corvara is an excellent base for exploring the area. It is much higher and cooler than Bolzano. It is much smaller and easier to navigate than Cortina. It has access to very easy alpine meadow trails and more challenging rocky places above the tree line.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0

Beautiful South Tyrol resort offering everything you need for any mountain activities you can imagine or just pure relaxation. With mix of old buildings and modern ski infrastructure this place offers true alpine ambient. On top of surroundings I really enjoyed local cuisine that is simple but based on natural local ingredients exceptionally good in every restaurant we had a chance to visit. My favorites were "Chi Cianeis" for lunch and "Plazores" for dinner.Guest review byWiktorPoland
