The hotel is beautiful and quiet, with most of the rooms having sea view. The Spa area has breathtaking views over Naples and the Vesuvius and includes several heated and ambient temperature swimming pools, a jacuzzi, sauna and Kneipp trail. The access to the Spa area was free of charge. The private beach is large, with sunbeds and umbrellas, all free of charge. Sandy areas alternate with those with pebbles, so aqua shoes might be a good idea. Breakfast was very good, with a great variety of food and drinks. Coffee was served a la carte and it was really good. The staff was kind and welcoming, we really appreciated the service. Rooms were spacious and bright. They were cleaned every day, our towels were changed, toiletries supplies were refilled. We had the perfect holiday, with excellent service, great location and amazing views! We visited in March last week during Easter vacation time. We spent two nights. Day 1 - we decided to just stay in the room and enjoy the view. It rained the whole day. We spent our time in the room looking at the sea and rain. It was very cool. Day 2 - we enjoyed the view of the sea and the Sorrento town under the sun then went for a trek. So it’s a room where you can just sit in the balcony and enjoy the view. About the property - breakfast was decent - views from balcony were worth experiencing - near to many trek spots - free car parking ( as you go towards Amalfi parking is hard to get and going to be expensive ) - In summer terrace can be used for your dinner. - there is a Pizza take away near buy which is local and super cheap. It is in a small secluded area but a 20 minute walk (up steps but manageable) brings you to the lovely town of Vico Equense. There is also a shuttle bus almost every hour up to the train station. From the train it was v easy to get to Pompeii or Sorrento. (Using the local Circumvesuviana train route). It is also handy for trips to Capri or along Amalfi coast. Sorrento is more affordable than other spots on the Amalfi coast, but the huge drawback is that it is overly tourist-focused (Irish pubs?!) and you hear English spoken everywhere. The main avenue feels more like Las Vegas than an Italian coastal town. :(Guest review byNancy - 10

We stayed in the hills of Vico Equense at Villa Rosa and went to the town for a day. It was a charming town with incredible views. For those travelers going to Sorrento, I would recommend taking a stop in Vico Equense. It's away from the noise of the crowds but still a 20 minutes bus drive away (so you don't have to worry about parking or driving those tight roads) - and the way over is very beuatiful. Massa Lubrense itself is beautiful, it has nice mountain views, nice people and nice restaurants, supermarkets and shops. It is also 'on the way' to the Amalfi coast, so if you're planning on continuing your trip later its a nice place to stick around for a while.Guest review byHarelIsrael - 10

Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked. But it had everything we wanted - easy to get to the train station, lots of shops within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. There was a nice park, a marina and it was possible to get boat trips from there instead of travelling into Sorrento which was much busier. Our favourite restaurant, which was only 5 minutes from where we stayed, was Gusto - nice staff, serving fabulous meat and other dishes. Amazing place to stay with your family or friends. We enjoyed every moment in the villa. Perfect location to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill allows to enjoy lovely dinners in the terrace with the sea view. Moreover, pool and lemon tree garden allows you to cool down from the heat.
