FAQs about hotels in Apulia
Rich Legacy and Natural Beauty
One of the richest archaeological regions in Italy, Puglia has received the influx from Greeks, Romans, Goths, Lombards, Byzantines, Normans and Spanish, amongst others. Together with an unusual and amazing landscape, Puglia is an Italian must!
With lower mountains than the rest of the country, it mixes fertile tablelands with dry landscape, rocky plateaus, and green hills. Kissed by the Adriatic and Ionian seas, its crystalline waters, rocky inlets and small sandy coves, well deserves a stay in some of the Puglia hotels on the beach.
Don’t miss the beautiful promontory of Gargano, nor Lecce’s stunning Baroque historic centre. Alberobello’s ‘trulli’ stone houses are a picturesque must. Being Apulia’s capital, Bari offers a number of cultural offer highlights as well as a lively nightlife, also famous in the summer resort of Gallipoli.
Its food is probably one of the best kept Italian secrets. The spaghetti with sea urchins is a typical delicious dish, while the ‘burrata’ cheese melts in your mouth with its creamy centre. You should also try the black olives, the ‘orecchiette’ pasta, and the amazing wines!
Whether you look for Puglia hotels with 5 stars, B&Bs or private villas, don’t miss the wide offer available on Booking.com!

- From US$931.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 22 reviewsMe and my boyfriend stayed for a long weekend in May at this beautiful, truly private, magical place and we had the best time. The people, especially the host, Adriano, were extremely kind, warm and welcoming, it was hard to leave. The property is stunning, a dreamy place with history, the rooms we saw (we had to switch at some point) were very classy and beautiful. The perfect place to charge batteries, also, incredible food. I am absolutely thrilled and will hopefully be able to come back some time!Guest review byAntoniaGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 164 reviewsFor the first time I had a holiday in an all inclusive hotel and I liked absolutely everything. Firstly it is a beautiful beach, secondly very good territory, where there is absolutely everything for recreation. We holidayed with a baby and I want to say that this is an ideal place for a holiday with children. Very good food, great choice of dishes, everything is fresh, great choice of desserts. Nice staff and fun animation. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, we will definitely go again.Guest review byannaRomania
- From US$188.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,568 reviewsAn excellent hotel in a quiet situation which although "out of a main town" was very convenient for visiting all the major sites around the area by car. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the management were also very visible and obviously cared how the hotel was run and did everything to make the stay a very pleasant one. The food at both breakfast and dinner was good with a fairly large selection. Overall I would recommend this hotelGuest review byKeithPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 171 reviewsEverything. It was absolutely beautiful!!! We hired a car but we actually didn’t leave the Masseria for 3 days because everything was so gorgeous. The pool is so great for a toddler with the shallow walk in entrance. The food is divine. The drinks were great. The staff were wonderful. The shuttle to the beach is great. For a hotel that’s so good with kids and with a little kiddie play area splash park, it felt so adult and so gorgeous.Guest review byLouiseUnited Kingdom

Was a surprise and delight.
Was a surprise and delight. We arrived and took a stroll to the pier which was nearby to find locals selling their catch of the day. There was a shop at the end of the pier that sold cheap and tasty food. We purchased a snack and a beer for 2.40euro! The promenade gave us somewhere to walk every night with a cool breeze - it reminded us of the French Riviera. We swam at the nearest beach along the promenade which was so lovely. There were lockers to store your bags. The old town was close and was a delight to visit. The only down side we always found was locating toilets in Bari. Shopping was great in not only the elite destrict but the local retailers. We loved Bari.Guest review byJoeAustralia - 10.0
The city was charming.
The city was charming. Too many churches to choose from, so we hand picked a few. Good and lovely restaurants and cafes. Tried and really liked Caffe leecese. A short car or train ride to a number of uncrowded beaches.Guest review bymargieUnited States - 10.0

Ostuni is a beautiful city located near so many other unique neighboring cities. The people were wonderful, helpful, and so many go above and beyond to understand your needs or questions. While staying in Ostuni, there was a really nice celebration for the city's patron saint, Saint Oronzo, that they had a parade for, and fun parties in the historic city center.Guest review bySilviaUnited States - 8.0

Gallipoli Town is charming and full of character. The historic center is lovely to explore on foot, with narrow streets, vibrant markets, and beautiful architecture. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants serving fresh seafood, and the views of the sea are stunning. The town has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for sightseeing and enjoying local culture. Definitely worth a visit!Guest review byAbhilash 80Switzerland - 10.0
Alberobello is a beautiful town but gets super busy.
Alberobello is a beautiful town but gets super busy. If possible visit early morning, or late evening to miss the crowds. The night view is as wonderful as day time with the Trullis lit up. Plenty of parking - either on the roadside approaching the town, or in the shared car parks. Lots of places to eat - all reasonably priced and comparable for the areaGuest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Otranto city itself is not special for us and we had two BAD dinners there - imagine bad pizza in Italy! We much preferred the coastline and beaches in the surrounding area. Would not return to Otranto, will try Santa Maria di Leuca next time and do the coastal path and visit the western beaches.Guest review byRebeccaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Vieste is really interesting and pretty old town and the people are friendly. Good standard of restaurants and not overpriced. There's a port where we hired a boat or you can get a boat trip. Some parts are very steep but worth walking up for the views. We stayed on the beach, a 25 min walk in along the beach but worth it or there's a bus for 2 euros p.p Would definitely recommend it :)Guest review byJonnyUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Brindisi is a small city but with a beautiful waterfront.
Brindisi is a small city but with a beautiful waterfront. There is not that much to do there and a three day visit is probably enough. We took the train to Lecce which is a forty minute journey and enjoyed that but were glad to return to Brindisi and its waterfront. We found Betty's restaurant at the waterfront which had a good menu and provided excellent food at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit. I would recommend their ice cream!Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom
