To be honest it was a all around beautiful place from the staff to the view, location is nice and peaceful if you wish to be close to Napoli and enjoy a more calmer environment. The food is spectacular at the restaurant there and staff is very accommodating.

Location of Angelino was stunning. If you want to relax and hear only the ocean this is the place for you. Food was good and service was at all times very welcoming. Even though rooms were basic but they were clean and cleaning was done daily. This hotel can really be recommended and we hope to come back here as well.

I was very surprised. Nice hotel with all the necessary comforts for a pleasant stay. Cleanliness and freshness of the structure. My room looked new and that no one had ever been there before. Scented and with every detail in its typical place of Italian style. The staff was very kind and also helped me on many occasions to move and recommend places and attractions outside the hotel. In the evening, on the way back I loved drinking an outdoor spritz in their beautiful garden. In short, Ninfa promoted with flying colours. I'll be back.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are great, the view is magnificent, especially the sunsets. The pool is very beautiful, garden is really nice. The parmigiana di melanzane that is made with produce from their garden is fantastic, it is made by Francesco and Alessandro’s mother. Special thanks to Andrea, who makes every morning better. Many thanks also to Claudia and Louis, I enjoyed our conversations. Last but not least, thank you to Francesco for all the great recommendations, what to visit, where to eat and so on. Sanny and his dad have a lovely residence and really made us feel at home! They were very accomodating about everything and had lots of little attentions, and advice about Ischia - they definitely made our stay in Ischia super nice :) The residence is ideally located as it is walking distance from the center of Sant'Angelo and parking is also easy. The breakfast with home made cakes, delicious italian coffee and the view on Sant'Angelo was great! The residence has two lovely thermal pools - the external one is located on the lovely terrace with the view on Sant'Angelo - all in all we had a great time there and would definitely go back! E stato un soggiorno davvero piacevole e rilassante, grazie di tutto!

    I appreciated the thermal pools, the stunning views, the quiet spa, the friendly stuff, the tasty food.. a combination that made it difficult to leave the place and visit the island. I am especially thankful to Giovanni, the physiotherapist/osteopath, who with his good understanding of the human body, managed to solve in 4 sessions of massages and manipulations some long lasting back and posture problems other therapists could not help me with. All in all an excellent, relaxing, rejuvenating stay I would love to repeat.

    the hotel is placed in an excellent position, easily reached with a short walk. It is also a few metres away from the Ischia Port Terminal and from there you can catch a bus (actually a mini-bus as the streets of Ischia are quite narrow) to just about anywhere on the island. The staff were very friendly and courteous offering precise explanations and details. Highly recommended if you simply want to relax! An added treat (which we did not know about when we booked) was the "percorso benessere" included in the price!

    Ischia is a great island for vacation - there are many sandy beaches, spectacular views, a lot of greenery and of course delicious food. It is not difficult to go around the island by car. The roads are narrow and with many turns, and many people are driving motorbikes which makes driving difficult but you can survive:) People are very friendly and calm. The food is amazing, especially pasta in any form! The island is easy to reach - the are ferries from Naples, about an hour from there. Highly recommend Ischia to visit!

    Depending on the time of year Procida is a little haven with unique, picture book views … very unspoilt and not overdeveloped!!! However, there are a lot of steps to climb up from the little port and to some of the beaches so go prepared!! All in all, having eaten out at most of the restaurants, we had delicious, fresh fish and no disappointing meals … staff were very friendly and the service was good. Finally, the best time to go here would be early or late summer … far more restful and relaxing 😎

    No parking.

    No parking. Many steps to get to the piazza and port and not pedestrian safe. Not geared to tourists. Shops for local consumption mostly. Ok for a day or two but traffic in and out is terrible and not a good base for exploring the area. I found the restaurants good but expensive.

    Almost only Italians are in Bacoli, very few international tourists, which makes it a special experience. You can just relax and enjoy the sea at several beaches, many of which are free, like Spiaggia del Poggio and Lido Schiacchetiello. There's quite a large supermarket on Via Roma with lots of nice local cheese, meat and fruits & veggies. Everything within Bacoli is walking distance. We used public transport to get there and around, EAV buses run mostly on schedule to reach for instance, Pozzuoli. Pozzuoli may be a better choice to stay if you want to discover the Roman ruins and the islands. There are some things to see and do in Bacoli as well, like visiting the Castle with amazing Roman sculptures and the Piscina Mirabilis is also interesting to see.

    +parking, Il breakfast - check in starts at 17 hrs and earlier check in of just 2 hrs involved an extra.Eur 15 .plus shower cubicle not clean and low light in the room. L indirizzo su booking.com is totally different and needs to be amended.

    I used to live here for 2 years.

    I used to live here for 2 years. I like how it is more peaceful than Naples. The restaurants have very good food, especially the pizza a la lenio. I love the markets you have called mercantinos. I love the beaches as well. I don’t like the massive amount of traffic around 10am on Sundays. That’s only in the summer though. All in all I love lago patria.

    We loved the owners of the hotel that we stayed at but as for the town it was a dump with all due respect! It was way out of Naples and access to the beach is impossible without a car, not much affordable transport options in Italy. I would not return to Varcaturo and probably not Italy for that matter. This experience has put us off! The owners of our hotel are the only reason we would consider returning to Italy due to there warm hospitality but sadly wouldn’t stay there again solely due to the location.

    A quaint town, very hilly, so if walking is not your thing consider this as the driving is not for the faint hearted...We used the bus which was a little confusing but all part of the experience and even when the bus drivers spoke no English they were happy to try to assist. Lovely beaches, not too busy in June but i am sure are packed in the heart of summer.

    This is just a wonderful place.

    This is just a wonderful place. We were there in August which should be high season but it wasn't too crowded. You of course have to have some tourism so that restaurants and shopping will thrive and for us this is just the perfect balance. Not too many people "in your way" but still enough to have a variety of restaurants, shops and all sorts of services. We will 100% be returning to Ischia... most likely more than once and more than twice.

    It's a beautiful island. Quiet. Small.

    It's a beautiful island. Quiet. Small. Lovely views, restaurants and people. You DO need to be able to walk and climb lots of steps. There are eBikes for hire, scooters and cars, but the streets are tiny and best walked. A great place to unwind. You can also hire boats or book boat trips. Great for sailing.
