However, something told me to choose Voi Colonna. and my instinct did not deceive me. it was one of the best vacations in my life. You will have everything you need in the resort. You will feel at home. The employees are extra friendly and helpful. The rooms are airy and beautiful. Cleanliness at its peak. Let's not talk about food...namely, the scales shows 2 plus after 1 week ;) Thank you to all the employees for welcoming us so nicely. Its a great place to stay to discover the area (east side of the island), its right in the middle to visit La Magdalena and Oroseo Gulf. There is plenty of restaurants and things to do/visit. The beaches around the city were great as well (pitulongu, port istana). We have stayed in other very nice resorts and hotels with robust amenities throughout Sardinia and this was easily our favorite one. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist us. In addition to the hotel, we loved touring around Capo Testa and spent a lot of time in Santa Teresa which is a very charming town near the hotel. The best place in Sardinia. Cute Italian town with picturesque houses, great restaurants and the best gelato. We loved going from beach to beach, they all possess different qualities, but they are all lovely with the bluest water I’ve seen. You definitely need a car or a Vespa to get the best experience. We highly recommend Palau for its great connections to La Maddalena – just a 20–25 minute ferry ride, with departures every 30 minutes. What an amzing place! We loved the city, the prommenades, the shopping, restaurants, and of course the beaches! The location of the Village was excellent with easy access...
The location of the Village was excellent with easy access to the sea with hotel transport. This is not a 5* and whilst the staff were lovely and friendly rooms could have been cleaner and bed clothes changed at least once in 8 days - they weren't. Breakfast and dinner were adequate, though repetitive - main course fish three days running and pork also on three days. It was a bit like Hogwarts without the discipline and a lot of pushing and shoving. The bar was very expensive - two vodka tonics 32 euros - and there was a total absence of service during the day - no coffee shop / cafe.
