Buzzing place for party goers. amazing shacks offering good food and live music. My favourite was Fisherman's Cove. Pretty close to the party circle like Baga and other beaches. Very close to Tito's lane the most happening sport approx 3-4 kms away. Best way to commute would be to take a bike. But beware if you are drinking and driving. No tuk tuks etc. The city thrives only on Taxis which are pretty costly. you can shop amazing dresses, party wears in the 10x10 shops across the road. It is not easy to get around Anjuna, everything is very spread out and at night the wild dogs are quite agressive which I struggled with. I enjoy walking, but here you need to have a car / scooter or take lots of taxis. The market was good, we ate in nice restaurants like The Tanjore Tiffin (a bit more up market and we loved it), MS Slow Tide and Pirates Cafe on the beach. We also had a night out in Juna nightclub - good fun with great cocktails. Overall I didn't like Anjuna much, we were there in the low season and we struggled with getting around and all the dogs. Panaji was a nice stopover for 3 nights before hitting the beaches. Very relaxed city and easy to get around whether by taxi or by foot. Our stay at this hotel was truly amazing. It's a peaceful retreat with a serene beachfront location, perfect for anyone looking to get away from noise and the digital world. The home-style food was delicious, and the setting allows you to fully immerse yourself in nature. The rooms are huge. A key thing to note is that the road to the hotel is very narrow and can be difficult to drive on in the evening.
