As a Londoner, Cork felt like a much larger version of...
As a Londoner, Cork felt like a much larger version of Carnaby Street; vibrant and colourful with plenty of live street music. Public transport was pretty good and using the TFI Live App for getting around via bus was very easy to use. Lots of places to choose from to eat and drink and walking around (for me during the day) felt safe and relaxing. Driving is a bit of an experience; all the major surrounding roads and quite a few connecting ones had speed camera enforcement applied to them. As a first time visitor and tourist this was quite overwhelming as the Satnav was a sea of white and red lines. Speed, road and other safety signs needed a bit of familiarisation before hand; as they would for driving in any new city of the first time. Arrival for me was via Cork International Airport; shocking queues at the Avis/Budget Car Hire Desk owing, in part, to the Payless Car Hire staff not being around and visitors being directed to the Avis/Budget Desk. Inbound passengers subject to passport control which caused a bit of a delay. No obvious toilets between airside and passport control so bear that in mind if your travel needs require access to 'facilities' Not unusual I guess as compared other destinations and the timing with other inbound flights might have been unlucky on this occasion. Flew Air Lingus from Heathrow which was punctual and overall a low-stress experience. Can't really beat the National Flag Carriers when it comes to airlines! Enjoyed a short visit to Blarney Castle; opted not to join the long wait to see/kiss the Blarney Stone. In part due to having spent quite enough time hanging around to pick up the Hire-Car. Plenty to see elsewhere, the caves under the castle are fascinating and the grounds/gardens are beautiful. Well worth a visit.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Killarney has so much to offer.
Killarney has so much to offer. Walks into the National park, shops, restaurants and great entertainment. Easy access to Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Bearra Peninsula. So so much to offer. Our favourite places to visit - Ross Castle, Muckross House and Dinis Cottage. Dennaugh Cottage , Kenmare and Castlecove beach on Ring of Kerry. A must visit is Strawberry Fields Pancake house on Road from Molls Gap and of course Kate Kearneys and the Gap of Dunloe.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We really enjoyed Limerick. The people were lovely. The food was great. The city centre is compact and easy to get around. The Treaty City Brewery was a high spot as were the Museum of Limerick (really helpful staff) and the People's museum (shared their enthusiasms with us). Dingle is a very pretty town with a lot of pubs and restaurants although booking restaurants in advance would be advisable as Dingle is a popular tourist centre. There seems to be live Irish music in pubs every night. There are boat trips from the harbour but that is weather dependant and they did not run during the week of our stay owning to very high winds. Such a great little town where you can get the true essence...
Such a great little town where you can get the true essence of the Irish culture with really authentic pubs playing live music every night. I'd reccoment both Gus O'Connors Pub and McDermotts, food and pints were great. The town offers free shuttle buses to the cliffs of Moher and then we did a beautiful cliffside walk back into the town. I couldn't reccommend it enough. I’ve hardly missed a yearly trip to Tralee in over 40 years I’ve been to every attraction in Tralee and surrounding areas nowadays I take a more leisurely approach a few pints meet up with longtime mates and generally have a good time! Kinsale is a gorgeous place with lovely scenery and lovely people. Lots of unusual shops and lovely tea rooms and places to eat. A lovely harbour and has a market day also. When raining there is a museum to visit(if no rain, worth a visit) also Art Galleries. A big choice of places to eat also. Ennis is a really nice town to visit.
Ennis is a really nice town to visit. There's a nice atmosphere to the place. Even though the whole of the centre was being dug up for improvements it was still really interesting to walk around.
