- From US$284.54 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 779 reviewsMagnificent building and gardens, decore inside was superb. Staff at all levels were so helpful. Islam was so great on the first day, with our luggage, and helping us settle into Cork. His customer service skills with us and other interactions I observed with other guests was exceptional. Tiago was also noteworthy upon checking in and sorting out an issue that occurred with an over charge, upon checkout. He was very courteous and would always enquire about my day and what I had seen in Cork when I went through reception. I appreciate such high level of interested conversations. Loved the wellness area.Guest review byKayAustralia

There is loads to see and do in Dublin.
There is loads to see and do in Dublin. We went to celebrate a friends 40th so most of it was spent exploring the local, cosy pubs for a good pint of Guinness and traditional music. The nightlife in Dublin is amazing, Temple Bar is good to see for one but as everyone says it is geared up for tourist and you pay accordingly. You only have to venture a few streets back to find the lively bars where the locals go, and pay a much more reasonable price for a drink. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, our friend had a birthday badge on and everywhere we went he got offered a birthday pint by a stranger.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lots to do around the city and outside.
Lots to do around the city and outside. A lot of gigs and an active night life. A car is a must if you want to see the natural beauty around the city. The city gaol is a must. Very eye opening in a depressing sort of way but really makes you appreciate being born in this century!Guest review byElisaNew Zealand - 10.0
Kilkenny is a lovely small city right on a river.
Kilkenny is a lovely small city right on a river. We recommend taking advantage of a good walking tour. We did, and it was a perfect way to spend two hours on a sunny morning. Our guide was superb, filling us in on the history of the city with interesting and humorous stories. The castle is an excellent representation of “castles” in general, and we recommend taking the time to tour the castle. There is a very nice cafeteria/restaurant in the old Royal Stable right across from the front entrance to the castle; the food was good and the setting is wonderful.Guest review byDuane SarazinUnited States - 10.0

Wexford town was lovely to stroll around, we dined in two lovely restaurants with top quality food and exceptional service. I found people genuinely friendly and helpful throughout and happy to engage and recommend where to go over the weekend. We hit upon some great live music with David Clarke and Charles Byrd in Maggie Mays definitely worth a mention, and managed a sea swim in beautiful curracloe to top it all off.Guest review byaineIreland - 10.0

Swords is a bustling town with a reasonable range of shops...
Swords is a bustling town with a reasonable range of shops and heaps of Cafes. Nearby Pavillions shopping complex is a very large mall with everything you need. Swoprds Castle in town is worth a visit but parking is a major problem in the township unless you carry cash. It would be so much easier if cards were accepted. Streets are narrow and can get congested.Guest review byPat TaylorNew Zealand - 8.0

If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not...
If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not for you. Dundalk is a former railway town, largely built round the (now defunct) works for the GNRI and with much 19th century red-brick architecture. It has a busy high street with a lot of small shops, pubs and restaurants, none are grand, it reminds me of similar towns in the UK before planning blight took hold. A lot of effort seems to have gone into smartening the place up in recent years, which is nice. Would that other towns of its scale have survived so well it would be nothing exceptional, but as so few have, it has a real charm. As a base, it is well sited to explore the countryside around, which has a long and interesting history, with a lot of historic sites.Guest review byNicholasUnited Kingdom
