- From US$297.27 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 184 reviewsAs soon as we arrived we were overwhelmed with the beautiful location. It overlooks the rolling hills filled with olive groves and sheep. When we went in October it was so quiet and peaceful, but I can imagine at busier times that the liveliness and hacienda feel to the place would be amazing. The rooms were beautiful and well maintained with amazing windows that opened right up to the afternoon breeze. It was a real local experience even down to the local water. The breakfast was incredible. We got to try so many amazing things specifically from the island of Pag. Michelin star restaurant is expensive as should be expected, but well worth it! It’s an amazing experience, treat yourself!Guest review byMatthewAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 164 reviewsThe apartment was spacious, very light and extremely clean. The staff was very nice and helpful, they made it possible for us to check in at 10pm and they were kind enough to give us late check out. Good value for money, the view from the apartment is too good to be true.Guest review byAnjaSlovenia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 173 reviewsThe breakfast was excellent with fresh coffee. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. While not in the center of Novalja, it's within walking distance. The hotel also offers the option to rent bicycles. The location is peaceful since it's not in the busy center.Guest review byMancaSlovenia

Novalja is amazing.
Novalja is amazing. Sure, it’s full of people in the high season since the famous Zrce Beach is nearby, but I’ll definitely come back next year. Not just for the beautiful sea and beaches, but also because we never had a chance to be bored.Guest review byBronaSlovakia - 10.0
The owner was very kind and accommodating.
The owner was very kind and accommodating. The location was a peaceful and convenient place to stay. We ate at the public beach area which we walked to in under 10 minutes. We walked around the marina after dinner and that was a lovely family walk. Would recommend to others.Guest review byTheresaUnited States - 10.0
Povljana is growing too fast.
Povljana is growing too fast. The rapid construction of unsightly apartment buildings threatens the original charm of this peaceful coastal village and slowly pushes it toward the fate of overcrowded resorts like Makarska. For now, the situation is still bearable – but it feels like a tipping point is approaching. One can only hope that local authorities and residents will act before the soul of the place is lost for good.Guest review byMichalCzech Republic - 8.0
Good: - beautiful beaches in the area
Good: - beautiful beaches in the area - several markets, no need to travel anywhere during the stay - beautiful walking/running trail called 'Life on Mars'. Not good: - near Slana bay there was a concentration camp in the past which is not commemorated in a good way; one have to find the info by their own - I think most of the people are not aware in what kind of area they spend vacation.Guest review byPawełPoland - 10.0
The location is fabulous.
The location is fabulous. The sea is clean and full with sea life. There are at least 3-4 restaurants in Mandre, two grocery shops and 2-3 bakeries. There is a cheese shop about 3 km away in Kolan, that has a lot of tasty local specialties.Guest review byAndrejSlovenia - 10.0

It’s a fairly remote village, but it’s full of life and really gorgeous. There is a little market where you can buy mostly vegetables, some olive oil stands, but the nearest shop is a 20 min drive away. The olive gardens are really beautiful, you can find nice spots along the trail!Guest review byBrosy - 10.0

Beautiful view, very friendly owners who took us on a boat trip, cosy and clean villa is equipped with all the stuff you need e.g. washing machine, dishwasher, table tennis, nicely decorated. Highly recommended.Guest review byTereza - 10.0
This is a quiet place very good for families with kids.
This is a quiet place very good for families with kids. There are not that many restaurants around. There is a bakery and a small grocery shop. Most of the beaches are for the accommodated guests but there is also one large beach Planjka at the entrance to the village. There are very nice beaches available within 15mins by car - Plaza Jadra and Cista Plaza.Guest review byTomas - 10.0

The location is wonderfully peaceful, yet offers plenty of restaurants, a shop, and everything you might need for a comfortable holiday. The highlight is without a doubt the large pebble beach with its crystal-clear sea – truly exceptional. Šimuni also has a charming harbor with several restaurants, and it even offers the possibility to swim there if the waves at the main beach are too strong. Having explored the entire island, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful spots for anyone seeking peace and relaxation.Guest review byVáclavCzech Republic - 10.0

Novalja peaks during summer for the festival season, with Zrce Beach nearby. However, it's a cute small town with its own little charm, I would definitely come at a less busy time (that being said, even during festival season it didn't feel crowded at all), and do some driving to nearby spots on the island. Driving is definitely preferred in Croatia in general (just be aware of limited parking and teeny two way streets), but you can arrive by bus to Novalja too.Guest review byMayaAustralia
