My stay at Tsamis Zante Suite Hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality that set the tone for the entire vacation. The hotel itself is a paradise nestled in the heart of Zante, offering breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. Our suite was spacious, elegantly decorated, with a private pool and a bathtub, providing a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The amenities at Tsamis Zante Suite Hotel are top-notch. We indulged in the delicious cuisine at the hotel's restaurant, where every dish was a delightful blend of culinary finesse. The pool area was a haven of relaxation, with plenty of sunbeds and a stunning infinity pool that seemed to merge with the sea. What truly sets this hotel apart is its incredible staff. - all hotel employees are very kind, welcoming and always at the disposal of the customers. I received a lot of useful information about the island and the activities that can be done there. They arranged a private boat tour for us (thank you, Maria!) - the rooms are very clean. Cleaning is done daily - the hotel's location is perfect: very close to the airport (5 minutes by car); very close to Laganas and a starting point to all the attractions of the island - the hotel has free parking next to the hotel - I received a free room upgrade, with a view of the hills. Also, in the room I received from the hotel a beach bag with beach towels, a bottle of wine, a traditional dessert, daily bottles of water and at check out I received a gift set with spices, olives and olive oil. It is a very nice gesture from them, and this shows how much attention they pay to their customers - varied breakfast, especially sweets, jams, yogurt - very nice pool area A special thank you for Marelee!

Chryssa's hospitality is absolute outstanding. My arrival and departure times were both at night, but check-in, check-out and airport transfer was very flexible and without issues. My room was squeaky clean every day. The room was very nicely equipped. Extra points for the ironing opportunity and for that great hair dryer. If I'd visit Zakynthos again, it would be a no-brainer to check accomodations at Chryssa's first. And I recommend the nearby Meating Point to have a bite. The food is delicious, the place is chill - far from the heavy traffic road - and I think they share similar values in spirit and hospitality :))

Exciting Holidays for Everyone

Surrounded by clear blue waters, Zakynthos (or Zante) is the 3rd largest island in the Ionian Sea, named after the son of Dardanus. This green island features mountain villages, fertile plains and gorgeous beaches.

Zakynthos was destroyed after the Great Earthquake of 1953 and rebuilt according to an anti-seismic code. Some of the buildings which were not damaged are St. Dionysios Cathedral, the National Bank and the church of St. Nicholas.

The island has one of the most famous Greek attractions - the spectacular Navagio Beach. Accessible only by boat, the 'Shipwreck' is an isolated beach with white pebbles and turquoise waters.

Set amongst olive groves and vineyards, the tourist resort of Tsilivi is full of traditional taverns and bars. The beach village of Laganas is a real gem for young people that love clubbing and are looking for a hotel on the Strip, but also for families seeking a shallow beach and warm waters. The Caretta turtle visits Laganas beach during its reproductive period and lays its eggs on the soft, golden sand.

    This boutique hotel is beautiful: located on the top of a small hill gives you a stunning view of the coast. It's walking distance to a nice beach where to swim in a cleaned sea, even if quiet busy. My room had a beautiful balcony and front sea view, it was very spacious, stylish and with a comfortable big size double bed. It was very well cleaned. High standard. The rest of the Hotel too: very well cleaned. Good breakfast with beautiful sea view. There is an excellent restaurant at the property with gourmet type of kichen. The staff was professional, really friendly, always smiling, attentive and helpful. I appreciated very much their courtesy and positive attitude. I highly recommend the Balcony Boutique Hotel, and I will certainly book it again if back to Zante.

    The rooms were clean and the towels were changed twice a day. The breakfast had variety and soo many sweets. In some evenings, there was live music by the pool and the bar was opened until night time every day, but without being noisy even if we had the room at first floor near it. Everything was perfect, people smiling and trying to do their best for the clients. From their restaurant, you can order whatever you want: pizza, pasta, sushi, steaks, ice cream, drinks… Most importantly, we had to walk only 2-3 minutes to arrive at the beach

    A lovely town - definitely tourist central (main source of income) but there is so much more than "downtown" madness lol - Take a long walk to Turtle Island (go early to get your spot on the small beach, entrance fee of around Euro6). Hike the side roads admiring the olive trees and farm animals. Rent a quad or car and explore further afield. Tour pickups are readily available. The food, coffee and drinks are delicious and within reason depending on what you care to spend - LOVED the icecream cafe close to the beach and there is a delightful European Bakery to enjoy fresh cream or chocolate yummies. Almost everyone is friendly - like everywhere, if you smile and 'ask" courteously, in return you will receive a positive response! A week is a good stop - 10days if you are wanting to spend more time lounging on the northern beaches. A worthwhile happy stop :)

    If you like to be in the center of the action (restaurants, bars, night life), Tsilivi is a good spot. If you are searching for something more relaxed, i advise to search for other locations in the island. Tsilivi is probably the best basis to visit all the rest of the island, very centered, but we were looking for a more relaxed and less"touristic" area.

The whole place is relaxed, happy, and just such a good place to be, a perfect location to unwind and enjoy after a few months hard slog at home.     Argasi is a small town with lots to offer. There is a good mix of bars & nightclubs, but not too lively. Great restaurants the length of the town & all within walking distance, except the one on the hill, but they will collect & return you from your hotel for free. Great beach bars just off the main road, so look out for signs to Remezzo (our favourite) etc on the waterfront. Plenty of places to shop around for car/quad hire & trips around the island, on land & sea. A fun train runs into Zante town every day from opposite Legends bar (€8 return) Just the most wonderful people & easy for us to return yearly.

    Alikanas is lovely with the mountain backdrop and the clear waters when there’s no wind. What I miss was a sidewalk. It’s difficult to go for a walk as there’s no sidewalk and on the beach there’s no continuous access.

    We loved the beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea, the amazing Turtle Rescue Centre, Kostas' Brother Tavern and also Familia Tavern, The Bay Hotel, the landscape, with olive groves in abundance.

    We were returning visitors and much has changed in the six years between visits, there are many more new buildings and hotels and there seems to be a load of car hire places that didn’t exist before. Currently it is still very peaceful and quiet which might not suit everyone (particularly families?) but as someone in their mid fifties I loved the fact there was 3 shops, and 3 restaurants within I 5 minute walk from our base I didn’t need anything else but thrill seekers might be a little bored.

    The location was beautiful, so green with stunning mountains leading down to the beach with views of turtle island. Nice selection of restaurants and grocery stores. Lots of boat rental companies. We liked Tzanetos restaurant most, sit upstairs with lovely views. We hired a boat from Sirocco, right on the sea front, they were not pushy and were very professional.

    You are surround by olive groves - and if wanted - it's just a short drive in several directions to some beautiful small beaches where the water is beautifully warm - and certainly not overcrowded. Heaven!!!! Well worth hiring a car for the duration of the stay.
