Loved the historical sites nearby and driving up into the mountain villages. There were excellent beaches nearby and we caught the public bus's to them, which were frequent and easy to use. Great food and lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance, explore the inner laneways. We hired a small car and managed well with the mountain roads but dont attempt if not confident, as many areas are narrow essentially single track with passing places and you do have to negotiate with a fair few coaches, in places.Guest review byMikeAustralia - 8.0
I’d say 3 days is enough time here.
I’d say 3 days is enough time here. We stayed where we were as it’s close to the beach and amenities, we didn’t travel elsewhere as it was 25 euro each way in a taxi to the port. We did want to get a quad bike but forgot a listener. Id recommend a few days here and also going to another island and a few days in Athens too. We went to Syros also which was less touristy in a great way.!Guest review byEleanorUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I recommend hiring a quad bike to explore more beaches and the inland areas. This location is very good for if you have a quad bike as you can travel between the old town and the beaches along the coast on the other side, as well as inland. Quad hire is very reasonably priced and the company we used is very nearby. This is a lovely peaceful area. Groceries are a little expensive and there is a bigger supermarket than the one on the corner that has some more options. There are many lovely restaurants a very short walk from the accommodation, along the beach. A few have seating on the actual sand which is really special and romantic for couples.Guest review byHavard - 10.0

Stelida is a purpose built hilltop penninsula for accomodation and walking distance to a lovely beach if the north wind is not blowing. Only two restaurant options to walk to at night but it has easy access to hill towns and beaches to the south by car. It's out of the hectic vibes of Naxos Town and very quiet at night so a good night sleep is ensured!Guest review byVICTORIAUnited States - 8.0

Mikri Vigla is a quiet town with a couple bakeries and restaurants. Beautiful sunsets and beaches, but you should have a car / moped to get around. The bus from Naxos Chora is infrequent and drops off at the beach, not the town proper.Guest review byDanielUnited States - 10.0
We liked the premises and quiet sandy beach.
We liked the premises and quiet sandy beach. There is free parking on premise and some very good restaurants nearby. Make sure that when you get the sea view room, you ask for the direct and not the side views room.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Vivlos is conveniently located about ten minutes from Naxos Town and roughly the same to local beaches. There are four or five local taverna's selling simple, good value, Greek food. The bakery is excellent and there is also a small supermarket and butchers. It's a good base from which to explore the island with walking trails marked out from thereGuest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Hotel was difficult to find. It didn't show on Google maps. Eventually found out about 100 meters north out of town where one market is directly across the street from another market. The market on the right out of town essentially checks you in.Guest review byJohnBUnited States - 10.0
