- From US$70.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 49 reviewsLovely spotless room with dedicated and helpful staff. There is no breakfast included but we found home-baked cup cakes on our verandah table in the morning and had jam, juice and crackers in the room. The restaurant is excellent and well-known. People come from other parts of the island for lunch and dinner. The beach (pebbles) is very close and absolutely incredible!!! I would definitely stay here again!Guest review byAnne-LaureBelgium
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 136 reviewsA beautiful, fully equipped apartment near the port and within walking distance of the city center and main attractions. A delicious breakfast is delivered to your room. The owner met us at the port and drove us to the apartment and back, providing all the necessary ferry information. The room had a beautiful view and a balcony with a jacuzzi. These are the nicest apartments we've ever stayed in.Guest review byДмитрийRussia

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 72 reviewsA lovely and well maintained boutique hotel, with an excellent pool and beautiful views all around. Feeling of privacy and a very welcoming staff. The pool area is very clean with a great view. We stayed at the Imerovigli suite and the Castelano room. Both are great, but the first was better in our view.Guest review byHaggaiIsrael

Astypalaia town, or Chora, is a true gem of the Aegean.
Astypalaia town, or Chora, is a true gem of the Aegean. Perched on a hillside, it offers stunning panoramic views of the sparkling sea, the picturesque harbor, and the majestic Venetian castle that crowns the town. The town’s white-washed houses, narrow streets, and vibrant bougainvillea create a magical, traditional Greek island atmosphere that is both peaceful and captivating. Visitors will find the iconic windmills just a short walk from the town center, and there’s a wonderful selection of tavernas, cafés, and shops to explore, where you can enjoy authentic local cuisine and hospitality. Whether you're looking to relax and soak up the island's natural beauty, wander the charming streets, or delve into its rich history, Astypalaia town has something for everyone. It’s the perfect blend of culture, relaxation, and scenic beauty, making it an unforgettable destination for all who visit.Guest review byEvangeliaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The town is built on a very steep hillside, with most of the restaurants and bars at the top. In the summer there is a bus that runs from the beach to the top. If you come by ferry, check the sailing times, as most are middle of the night and the main port is not at Pera Gyalos. The roads leave a lot to be desired.Guest review byMikyTUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Analipsi is a gorgeous village in Astypalea.
Analipsi is a gorgeous village in Astypalea. If you are looking for a relaxed and peaceful stay, a gorgeous clean beach, low key cafes and restaurants (lots of fish dishes and seafood) it is THE perfect place to go. No noisy bikes / scooters. Perfect for couples (not much for children) wanting a stress free break. Car hire would be beneficial to get to the Chora (a 15 minute drive) and enjoy the excellent views, and sample the lovely food. But it is possible to do without a car, using the bus or the "Astybus" which will pick you up on request.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Magical views, great food, good restaurants ( from 1/2$-$-$$) close to Livadi beach ( steep but walking distance) close to port . Cheap taxi service.5€ to get around.Astybus (electric small busses)picks you up where every you are ( cheap). Very friendly locals.Guest review byIngeBelgium - 8.0
Another cute Greek island.
Another cute Greek island. I have been to 15+ Greek islands over 50 times in total. It is similar to many other Greek islands. Small, cute. The castle and the old town looks really lovely. We went in mid-August. Although the island had probably around 5000 visitors, because there are few restaurants and options, all places were packed. Most of my Greek friends consider Astypalaia as the best Greek island, however in my view it's fine, cute, but I wouldn't say it's more beautiful than many other Greek islands.Guest review byokgagoTurkey
