I had a fantastic stay at Hotel de Londres in Fontainebleau. Everything was perfect—from the warm and friendly staff to the unbeatable location right across from the château. My room had breathtaking views of the château, was exceptionally quiet, and provided a truly relaxing atmosphere. Quite spacious too. The hotel’s charm and attention to detail made for a great experience.

It was beautiful and fantastic experience. The queen's room was gorgeous, and I loved the bathroom. I enjoyed walk around the forest in the castle area. But best part of the hotel is the hostess. She was super kind and have positive energy always. I would like to thank for her!

This place was one of the best hotels i've ever stayed. The owner's reception was heartwarming. This hotel has a gallery/ museum inside, and it was amazing to have Pierre as a guide. Rooms were comfortable and had all the things we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Just felt like home. Would give this place much higher rating than 10 if possible)).

    I arrived late at night and was delighted with the warm welcome. I was helped with the luggage all the way to my room (even though I am sure that is not required). The room was lovely and comfortable and had a nice view. The garden was pleasant and breakfast and coffee very nice. The staff went out of their way to make my stay an excellent one. Super professional amd super helpful. Holding on to my valuables, offering me international adaptor plugs, advising me on local eateries and directions, organising taxis - highly recommend this property to visitors and will definitely choose it again!

    Lovely property full of charm and good vibes. The house is beautiful and they take care of everyone like you are at home. The garden is wonderful and we slept so well on the quiet plot. While it is a short walk from the main parts of Barbizon, it is not that far and nice to do after the good meals in the village. Highly recommend.

    The Ferme d’Orsonville is absolutely stunning. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed every minute. Breakfast was delicious and the service amazing. Best scrambled eggs. And I would say that the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, in a hotel. 100% recommend. I barely ever give a 10/10, but this deserves it.

    The chateau is near the top of our favorites in France.

    The chateau is near the top of our favorites in France. The town area is pleasant, with some nice little stores and a nice church. There are a number of really good restaurants. It is always busy becuase of the chateau but doesn't feel over crowded or rushed,. For walker, the woods must be a marvel.

    For the good name and reputation of Booking.Com you should...

    For the good name and reputation of Booking.Com you should remove this property from your listings. It took nearly an hour to gain access to the room, through various phone calls and video links we were finally able to operate the very complicated door key code locking system. The electrical system left a lot to be desired, on plugging in the kettle the double socket came away from the wall, multiple electrical appliances were by extension lead plugged into a single socket. Some other sockets did not work and the main cealing light in the bed/living area did not work. There was no Smoke Alarm despite having a cooking area, No information on fire drill or escape procedures from the 7 story building. The bathroom/toilet area was filthy and damaged with broken extractor fan and toilet seat. There was uncooked food left in the micowave oven. Advertised Available Parking was street parking at a cost of 22 euros for 8 hours. The nearest public parking was 15 minute walk away. I do not recomment this property to anyone, particularly senior citizens. In all my years of successful bookings with Booking.Com, this is by far the worst.

    It was quite run down and dirty.

    It was quite run down and dirty. Considering how beautiful it could be, it just wasn't worth going and walking around. The church is beautiful but unfortunately the rest of the town was a real let down. Sad to see.

    Beautiful town!

    Beautiful town! Lovely views, but tough to find parking in the town. Make reservations for dinner as the restaurants fill up fast! People kayaking and canoeing down the little water falls we’re having a lot of fun! We enjoyed feeding the ducks and geese from the edges of the lower walls.

    It is an extension of Fontainebleau which is a popular tourist destination. Avon is cheaper to stay in to visit Fontainebleau. Fontainebleau Forest is truly amazing. I just loved it and wish I had more time to spend exploring it. Fontainebleau Chateau is, of course, what everyone is there for.

    - I was there for a Business Trip, but there are many places to see, especially historic places like the King's palace - Fontainebleau - the majestic Seine river is nearby - great restaurants of course, you are in France!

    It was well worth a visit to the palace and the grounds. Lots of amazing history, art, and the locale is peaceful and beautiful. A true gem and a super relaxing way to spend a day in France with the family! Relax at the terrace cafe after a tour or being a picnic. Lounge by the pond and watch the Koi fish and meander through the park to discover statues, the namesake water spring, or just get some exercise. Absolutely lovely!

    We've been to Melun so as to visit two castles : Vaux-le-Vicomte (a must see a few km away from Melun) and Fontainebleau. Two excellent visits, we didn't enjoy any time in Melun properly speaking.

    If you live in Nemours, it will be very easy by self-driving to visit Fontainebleau! The distance between Nemours and Fontainebleau: 20Km. And the Apartment "cocooning" au bord du Loing is excellent and wonderful!

    It’s a beautiful place that deserves a whole proper trip to be visited. I was on my way to another destination and just stopped by for a night, but surprisingly I found out this is a precious vibrant town with amazing nature and architecture. Definitely in my list for a next trip!
