We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel in Siwa. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The atmosphere was peaceful, authentic, and full of charm – the perfect place to relax and take in the unique beauty of the oasis. I booked 3 nights and ended up staying 2 more months there! When I arrived at the bus station, I got picked up and was brought to the hotel. There's a pool, kitchen and a garden with date palm trees and olive trees. All rooms have a bathroom inside. The hotel is close to a lot of sights and only 1,5km from the city center "Shali" where you find markets and restaurants. You can take a taxi or just walk there. Bakkar and Mohamed from the hotel offer tours to all the sights. Individual tours are also possible. They are really helpful and friendly! I enjoyed my stay there. The hotel is an oasis inside the Siwa Oasis!

Hamu was very helpful and kind. His cafe has a really beautiful mood and delicious drinks as well. I highly recommend mango juice. Though it was a bit cold at night, you can ask for an additional blanket as well.

We loved the polite friendly staff from the first moment everyone wanted our comfort. The receptionist Mohamed Ahmad was welcoming and very helpful. The bell boy and cleaning staff were great. The breakfast was very nice with several choices and the staff was super, specially Ahmad, who was sociable and very helpful. Great job everyone. The location is close to town and the beach is clean and beautiful. The towel guy was ready with towels and very polite. I can’t deny that we had a wonderful time.

    The worst place I’ve ever been to in my life.

    The worst place I’ve ever been to in my life. They humiliate you just to book a restaurant or go to the beach, with strange rules: entry is only allowed for couples, and for couples the woman must not be veiled. It’s extremely expensive, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to even consider going there.

    Was the best surprise in our trip to Egypt. Marsa Matruh has two of the best beaches we ever saw in our lives: Cleopatra and Agiba. For sure we will be back. We loved also the Museum of Marsa Matruh. There is a McDonald's just in front of the beach, so you can eat your "big mac" or an ice cream with an amazing view!!! The people of the city are not very used to meet strangers in my opinion, it seems that differently of Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, Marsa Matruh is more focused for Egyptian tourism instead of foreigners, so not everybody speaks English there. Prices are cheaper than in other cities of Egypt. We had a taxi driver that became our friend even we only could talk using Google Translate. Very warm personality and we booked him to guide us in all the beaches in a day trip. We can't wait to return to those amazingly beautiful and crystal clear beaches!!!

    The chalet were clean and the terrace lake view was amazing. There are 3 beaches, the front of the resort is good but we enjoyed Sidi AbdElrhman beach. The cafeteria food was delicious and cheap. Owner was friendly and very welcoming. You must have a car to go to the 3 beaches.

    don't go to Matruh in peak season( July & August) too many people are in the streets & on the beaches, choose remote suburban location outside main city if you are a foreigner or Non Muslim women as culture & religion are playing against you if you want to take a dip in the sea wearing a one- piece swimsuit, the city is blessed with splendid nature and is cheap,

    It is not a city you can visit as a tourist.

    It is not a city you can visit as a tourist. You need to book in a resort which you may leave once during your stay to have a dinner in one of the bedouin restaurants in the area. If you’re not going for business make sure to pick a resort with all facilities you might need.
