Their Vísper Pinta restaurant serves excellent food and is a happening local place with a great atmosphere. Breakfast is also very good. If you’re on your way to Zermatt or the SaaS Valley in Valais, I recommend staying over at Elite. Very nice and cozy location.
Very nice and cozy location. There is a small tavern in town called Spycher where you can eat amazing Fondue. The ski tracks are simply amazing. There are 2 black ones, 5-6 red (if I remember well) and 3 blue. I loved all of them. In addiction there is an area for kids where they can easily learn the basics of ski. Visp is a small town, and doesnt offer much in terms of tourist attractions. But it does have some exceptional dining options. The one I particularly liked was "Restautant Fux" which has a fantastic dining menu and drinks :-) Other notable restaurants worth a visit are: Restaurant La Poste, Staldbach and Restaurant Elite If hotels in Zermatt or Saas-Fee are sold out, then Visp would be one the ideal places to stay. In Visp, I would recommend Hotel Elite or Hotel Baxter as one of the best options to stay.Guest review byRAJATIndia - 6.0

Would be dead, like the Welsh valleys, if it wasn't for Lonza A.G. The trainstation however is very well served and is a jumping-off point for Saas Fee and Zermatt. There is a regular express train to/from Romanshorn, which calls at Bern and Zürich.
