- From US$147.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 292 reviews<A truly exceptional stay> Our group of eight Canadian hikers stayed at Le Besso during our trek on the Walker's Haute Route, and our experience was truly outstanding. Six of us, including myself, stayed in the loft, which was clean, well-maintained, and had a romantic, unique, and lovely feel. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was great—it was one of the best we had on the entire hike. All of this would easily earn a 5-star rating, but it was the exceptional care from the staff that motivated me to write this review. First, when heavy rain disrupted our plans, the gentleman working in the cafe—likely the owner or manager—went above and beyond to help. He advised us on how to avoid dangerous sections of the trail, helped us arrange a taxi, and provided clear directions for public transportation. Second, when we asked if breakfast could be served a little earlier to help us stay on schedule, he listened to our request and accommodated us. Finally, and most importantly, I realized I had left my down jacket in the loft after we had already moved on. I contacted the staff, and they immediately agreed to look for it. After they found it, they promptly mailed it to my hostel in Geneva so I could receive it before leaving the country. Honestly, I didn't expect to see it again, so when the package arrived, I was incredibly touched. It was the perfect ending to my trip in Switzerland. Thank you, Le Besso, for your exceptional service and for adding such a wonderful memory to my trip. I highly recommend this place.Guest review byFeiCanada

Love Zinal! We visit regularly. .
Love Zinal! We visit regularly. .Lovely old village (with a community feel, & v friendly) despite some overdevelopment. Fantastic mountain walking and views. Liberte pass is great! (free busses & 1/2 price cable cars in whole Val d'Anniviers on payment of tourist tax (4CHF pppd) - saved us 300CHF. V good value. Adequate facilities (small supermarket etc) Eating out expensive (as with rest of Switzerland!). Great bread from bakery (& supermarket)!! Usually has excellent weather (in 5 visits). Love the combination of hot sun & cool breeze coming off the glaciers.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great place for a summer runaway!
Great place for a summer runaway! It has breath-taking beautiful scenery and very cool climate in August. In the village, you can walk around the steep hills, play sports in the sports field or enjoy some minigolf. There are some wonderful restaurants too. We cooked half of the time and ate out the other half. There is also a local bakery to buy fresh bread and sweets. If you prefer complete grocery shops, make sure to buy everything you need down in Sierre before coming to Vercorin! The nearest mountain Cret du Midi is easily reachable by telecabin. On top, there are various fun activities: hiking, (watching) paragliding, trotti-mountain biking, rope park... Definitely a hidden treasure in Valais!Guest review byYan:)Switzerland - 6.0
Nice little (original Swiss Valais) town. Lots of traffic.
Nice little (original Swiss Valais) town. Lots of traffic. Very old infrastructure in the ski area (with a few new gondolas and chairlifts). Waiting in line for the lift is annoying. The longest time I've experienced.Guest review byOlafSwitzerland - 10.0

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Bella Tola & Spa in Switzerland, a beautifully restored hotel set in a magical location. Situated in a charming town, the hotel impressed us with its cleanliness, elegant decor, cozy rooms, and comfortable beds. It's an ideal location for hiking and exploring Switzerland. Moreover, we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinner offerings during our stay.Guest review byBeth EllenUnited States - 10.0

I have been going to Zinal for over a decade.
I have been going to Zinal for over a decade. I will try to be brief but the view and river is so calming. True there are getting to be more people but it just shows how magical the place is. Zinal is not very big but they have excellent restaurants. My all time favorite is the Trift. The chef is an artist. The hike trails are breathtaking though not for beginners. It is an excellent choice for a getaway in the Swiss mountains and to take in nature. I have gone with my kids in the winter for skiing and they love it... also the summer but youth of today do not hike as much 🙃. Last thing I can say is go check it out. For lovers of nature you won't be disappointed.Guest review byJohannaSwitzerland - 10.0

Vercorin, a Swiss alpine paradise where the beauty of nature creates a stunning backdrop. Whether you stroll the slopes of the town or hike the lush trails, adventure exists every season. A town steeped in history, charming chalets filled with stories of yesteryear, while local markets and cafes offer authentic Swiss flavours.Guest review byCelestin_SRomania - 8.0

Nice place but it seems they start to turn it into a construction site, a lot of new development at higher altitude levels ; it still has charm but fear that this unknown gem is now fully exposed to foreign and domestic real estate investments. I come here for over 18 years and witnessed these gradual changes with mixed emotions. Also prices are hiked up seriously, dinner, supermarket, replacing a broken ski helmet with a new one etc...seems all 30 to 40 percent more expensive than comparable resorts in France .Guest review byrherlaarBelgium - 8.0

Zinal and Grimentz offer some great runs and they have a good lift system. For good skiers you can ski both resorts in a couple of days so best for a short break. Zinal is much smaller and quieter than Grimentz. Not much is open in the town during the daytime but there are some nice restaurants for dining.Guest review byColin BarryUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I come to Vercorin regularly as I have family in Switzerland. It's got many good walks, scenic spots and just enough to do but it's not too touristic like some areas. You can enjoy the altitude and get fitter by walking every day.Guest review byAnnaBahrain
