- From US$145.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,129 reviewsIt was so conveniently located in the old town and the 206 bus which you can’t eke directly out from the railway station drops you outside the door. Stefan was so helpful and for a poor French speaker like myself he spoke impeccable English and was a brilliant host. We spent a lot of time in markets for Xmas so didn’t eat at Hotel but the layout and atmosphere looked relaxing. The room was clean and well set out and I loved the wide opening window It’s a small room but the layout is clever use of space The heavy duty doors and stone walls mean it’s a quiet room and blocks out other people’s noise I will be going back for sureGuest review byLouiseUnited Kingdom
- From US$202.48 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 2,690 reviewsAmazing place , the location is absolutely stunning with direct access to the legendary Montreux lake. The junior suite was amazing and spacious with a coffee machine, two bathrooms and super comfy beds. Everything there is so calming and relaxing. The staff, what can I say , they are the 👌 best. Clara , at the reception, was adorable, she went out of her way to help us with a minor issue we had and made sure everything was great. All that while being extremely nice and always smiling and welcoming. Thanks Clara , and everyone there really. This is an outstanding hotel with outstanding staff. 10/10 for me honestly.Guest review byRamiEgypt
- From US$431.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 657 reviewsAmazing place full of history in a calm and beautiful place. Extremely welcoming, I would say it was best welcoming in the world when we arrived. The restaurant was already closed but we were treated with delicious improv dinner in the room. Nice lake view and easy way to have a nice walk up to the mountains as the hotel is situated up the hill almost above the town. All the hotel rooms & public places really elegant, lake & mountain range view from my room was just outstanding. Also enjoyed to follow with eyes a train climbing a hill. Everything is so picturesque here. Definitely would like to come backGuest review byEVDOKIARussia

Montreux is a beautiful town, located on Lake Geneva, surrounded by mountains. Great dining, lovely flower lined promenade stretching for several kilometres along the lakeside. Great train services to many parts of Switzerland, especially the Golden Pass Express, which runs between Montreux and Interlaken, travelling through amazing landscapes, Special mention if you are a Queen fan is the Freddie Tour, which is an amazing tour and commentary about the time that Freddie Mercury and the band spent in Montreux's Mountain Studios, and the town, visiting locations where they hung out, and learning a true insight to Freddie. Will certainly return to this fabulous town.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

beautiful, tranquil town of Vevey is a pleasure to visit- we landed in Geneva and drove to Vevey that morning and we just loved our visit. We could have stayed much longer. Terrific restaurants, the village and shopping and walking the lake - just wonderful.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Take the time to explore the shops along the Grand Rue.
Take the time to explore the shops along the Grand Rue. I especially enjoyed the La Consomm market which sold local products, and a well organized second hand shop on the western end of the street. Unfortunately the Paper museum was closed due to holiday while we were there. The balloon museum was small but interesting, especially the little area with videos telling the story of the Breitling orbits.Guest review byMountain LoverUnited States - 10.0
Carry a map/guide when visiting places of interest / shops.
Carry a map/guide when visiting places of interest / shops. It's easier to get around with a friend and to travel with a taxi. Trains are available, but mostly when visiting areas nearby or larger locations. If you are not used to a cool to cold climate, take some warm clothes, especially if you are going to go hiking up the mountains - it can get pretty cold. Nearby attractions include Gruyères Castle, Gstaad, Glacier 3000 and especially Vevey, the closest area where you can experience Lake Geneva.Guest review bychintanpatelSouth Africa - 10.0
The Community of Veytaux is at an excellent location towards...
The Community of Veytaux is at an excellent location towards the east end of the Lake of Geneva. Although the community is small, you can do a lot from here. The Chateau Chillon is in the political community of Veytaux. The chateau is impressive; and its visitors can learn a lot about the history of this region of Switzerland. Further east, you can visit Villeneuve and can take a steamer boat cruise on the Lake of Geneva. - The Swiss Train Pass helps to save a lot of money when you use the trains, the boats, the gondolas, the busses, etc. throughout the country. West of Veytaux is Montreux. You can enjoy the lovely community of Montreux alongside the lake, go up the Roches de Naye and enjoy the beautiful view over the Lake of Geneva, take trains in diverse directions (e.g., Gruyère, for the cheese factory tour, maybe combined with a tour at the chocolate factory of Caillier, the Golden Express yo Interlaken, etc.). If you like train traveling, you can easily travel to Geneva and see the old town, visit the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, go up to Brig and see its old town or visit Briggerbad and its thermal bath and waterpark, or even go up to Zermatt if your an early bird and go upon the Gornergrat or up on the Small Matterhorn. Veytaux is a place to stay at and see; and, it can "base camp" to see many more places in the greater region. Just have the right train pass so that you can easily use the public transport network and comfortably travel to different sites of interest. Eating out and enjoying your companionship while being served a good meal is possible as well.Guest review byReneCanada - 10.0
We Loved our stay there ❤️
We Loved our stay there ❤️ The castle was an extraordinary experience. It brings us out of our common sense place. Wonderful view at front side terrace of big tower, we enjoyed our evenings there. Peaceful morning breakfast at our back terrace, surrounded by trees, perfect place for morning yoga meditations. Beautiful room, large, a kitchen supported staying longer at the place. A nice table inside was great for the rainy days.Guest review byYaraBrazil - 10.0
Great location to explore the Swiss Alps.
Great location to explore the Swiss Alps. Magnificent scenery, "a postcard at every turn!" We visited in early December and they had had snow. Would definitely recommend a trip on the Mont Blanc express to Chamonix. As well as a trip to Glacier 3000, both offering stunning views of the Alps. A car is a must to appreciate the location.Guest review byPaulAustralia - 10.0

It rained while we were there, so it put a bit of a dampener on our stay. We still caught the bus to the funicular and walked all around the town and waterfront, still beautiful city even in the rain! We had a great meal at Blah Blah - Italian restaurant!Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10.0
A lovely little town in a superb Alpine setting.
A lovely little town in a superb Alpine setting. Outside often the loudest sound is the distant clangour of cow bells. Everyone there is really friendly, there are good options to eat out, the local trains give access to some great places, and if you stay more than one night (I think) you get a Pays d’en Haut discount card for reduced entry to various places (including the wonderful L’Etivaz cheese cellars) and free travel on local trains and buses.Guest review byAndrewAustralia
