The hotel and the entire experience of staying there was wonderful! The building is grand, and the decor is fitting and classy. Everything feels new and well maintained. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are clean, comfortable and unique (ours had a very high ceiling). The spa and pool was so clean and enjoyable to use. Great choice of restaurants with great food and excellent service. The lobby bar is great too. Breakfast was very very good. It was also great that there is a car park right next to the hotel which the hotel can give you overnight access to for a fee. We will definitely be coming back whenever we pass through the area.

A most beautiful eclectic & quirky Bed & Breakfast. Parking on site is secure & safe. The owner was so welcoming when we arrived a little early & offered us tea & coffee, which was very welcome after a 3 hour drive. He gave us a lot of interesting information on the history of the house. The room was beautifully decorated on the top floor. ( if you find climbing stairs a little difficult, ask for a first floor room). The dining room was set out to share the table with fellow travellers, which encouraged interesting conversation. The breakfast offered was varied & of good quality. Lovely home made jams, fruit, yohgurt & very tasty French cheeses. If requested eggs & ham as well. Teas and coffee. The house in addition has a lovely back garden, ideal for those lovely summer days. So all in all a very pleasant stop over for us. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the hotel, It was amazing how many facilities and extra things you get. If you decide to stay in the hotel the whole day, you could have a great day there - with free snacks and drinks, water, gym, spa, area with games and TV. You could also work if you want. In the evening hotel offers a little food called Aperetivo where you can also get a drink an chat. As said, it is super calm and quiet, which is perfect for a stay with a dog (which is allowed everywhere). Stuff is super helpful and friendly, close to the city center, and feels safe.

    Staff went over and above to make us some food straight away on arrival after a long day travelling. The accommodation was really lovely and comfortable, only 4? Guest rooms so not over crowded, plenty of built in wardrobe and shelf space for clothes,bathroom modern and had plenty of towels, robes to wear and slippers for the spa. tea and coffee always available from coffee pod machine and kettle on corridor, always topped up, it was better that it was in sight of the staff to top up rather than having it in the room and having to ask for more. Resident cat leelou was adorable and made us feel home from home. Breakfast was promptly left outside the room on a trolley at time requested. Spa facilities lovely and clean. Really enjoyed our trip, lovely memories. Thank you!

    Fabulous hotel to stay at. This was our second time there and we will definitely be back again. The location is close to good restaurants and a wonderful spa!     The historic centre is interesting and quite lovely. Easy to walk around the city. Good transport links, especially by train. Plenty of options for eating and drinking. I've stayed in Lille for several 2-3 day stops and also enjoyed it. Lively without feeling too crowded.

    Didn't get chance to look round Dunkerque as we were going elsewhere, so only got to see the beach briefly and enjoy a meal at a seafront restaurant, but it looks like a place we would have loved exploring so will come back one day.

    Worst host and room I have ever seen.

    Worst host and room I have ever seen. They present everything beautifully, but on the inside it is downright filthy. Hair in the bed from previous visitors, dirty footprints on the stairs, clearly not vacuumed, mold everywhere. No form of ventilation possible, so even if you wanted to stay here, you actually can’t stay here because of your health. When we reported this to the host, we basically got the answer that we should clean it ourselves if we thought we could do it better. He also said that the lack of ventilation would not cause any harm. Additionally, they are not reachable by phone and do not respond to the emails sent via Booking, which also shows no willingness to cooperate in any way. DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMODATION!!

    I felt Cambrai felt safe and clean. Virtually all the bars and eateries were situated in a relatively small area. And everyone I spoke to in my schoolboy French seemed delighted to break into their much better English.

    We liked the most: museum La Piscine de Roubaix and cheap restaurant Le Chelia, old houses in Tourcoing, bakery near the accommodation, center of Lille with beautiful cafes, metro of Lille, direct train to Paris from the station in Tourcoing...

    Douai is a regional town with historic buildings.

    Douai is a regional town with historic buildings. The Musee de la Chartreuse is particularly interesting and historic and has a reasonable collection of European renaissance paintings and french impressionists. I particularly visited there to see the Marie and Henri Duhem impressionist paintings. You can see the main attractions in the town within a day.

    Lille is a lovely city in French Flanders.

    Lille is a lovely city in French Flanders. The Eurostar station is soulless but this makes it easy to use and hassle free. There is another much more attractive station, Lille Flandres, the original station. It's within reach of Paris and Brussels and around them. From one or other of these stations, you can catch trains and connections for other parts of France. The old town is lovely. The cathedral is nicer on the inside that on the outside. There is a lift to your left as you look at it, round the corner from the stairs. The city has a Belgian feel to it, as well as French, and people are friendly. Hotels tend to be a bit cheaper at weekends. The Carrefoure supermarket in the shopping centre is great for stocking up

    Dunkerque is a pretty seaside town.

    Dunkerque is a pretty seaside town. The beach front reminds me of Knocke (Belgium), with a long sandy beach and long tidal reach. Lots of history for any Englishman, but very little to see. The museum is certainly interesting but focuses on the brave French army who defended Dunkerque rather than the drama of the amazing escape. As usual in any French town, don't feel hungry outside of opening hours (12-2pm for lunch and 7-10pm for dinner). Breakfast was very hard to find (one restaurant on the beach was open early and they had sold out of all the croisants and pain au chocolat!!)

    Faultless.

    Faultless. Superb welcome. fantastic property and great room. The best shower. Spotless! Great private or on street parking available. Wonderful hosts. The property had a wonderful vibe and even smelt wonderful! Loved it!
