Absolutely stunning views from our room on the 18th floor. Our friends on the 2nd view were less impressed. All had great beds and an all round very comfortable and spacious room.

An outstanding place to stay sandwiched between two attractive beaches on the outskirts of Bowen. Our upstairs unit was spacious and clean and had fabulous views from the valcony out over the well kept grounds to the ocean. We self catered, but the motel has a bar and there is a restaurant down by one of the beaches which is open on certain days of the week. I understand there is also a Thai restaurant nearby which opens at weekends. We enjoyed the circular walk up to the radar station lookout and clambering over the rocks to a couple more secuded coves. There is also a swimming pool sensibly situated to the side of the building we were in. Reception was friendly and efficient, and we appreciated the on site laundry.

The staff were really accomodating and friendly. The beds were comfortable and stable (no waking up because your bunk mate is getting in) It's a social hostel and close to the strip, but still quiet at night for a good nights sleep. Bathrooms were really clean and even had a rain shower. Kitchen is the best one I have seen in a hostel so far. Very spacious and well equiped. Even had an airfryer! Everybody was a little bit older. Lot's of people from 25-30, which is a nice change from some of the backpacker crowds.
