- From $214.46 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 5,168 reviewsRoom was very nice, liked the modern finishings with automatic curtains and blinds. The bed was VERY comfortable and the view was lovely. Downstairs at the casino the bar staff were lovely and remembered the drink I'd previously ordered which was a nice touch. The cafe did a beautiful breakfast and the staff there were polite and helpful.Guest review byJason MichaelUnited States
- From $195.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 740 reviewsCook your own breakfast is a novel idea which wasn't clearly communicated and only on cracking a raw egg thinking it was boiled did I realise this was the case. It was a great experience to grill my own breakfast and enjoy the freshly baked bread after the rainforest hike neighbouring the venue. The spa bath and shower are great too.Guest review byGreg B.South Africa

Brisbane is an ordinary Queensland city.
Brisbane is an ordinary Queensland city. It is basically boring with few cultural, scenic or other highlights. We did find an excellent Vietnamese restaurant in Hamilton. South Bank has much to offer families. The ferry service on the river is a very good and inexpensive public transport system, but slow.Guest review byPaulNew Zealand - 10.0

The Gold Coast is a vibrant friendly place with great public transport, awesome shopping and excellent eating. People are helpful and there is plenty to see and do. The river is absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend a river cruise! Beaches are clean and not too crowded and the night markets on the weekends are a must!Guest review bydu Plessis - 8.0
Having lived in Cairns previously and now return regularly...
Having lived in Cairns previously and now return regularly to see family and friends, while there is a lot about the crime there in the media, i have never experienced it myself. It is important to lock your car and be aware of your surroundings and not flash money or personal wealth around, but i dont think this problem is any worse then anywhere else. The climate is great, and even if it rains, it is warm rain and soon dries. Great opportunitues to see the reef and rainforest. Prices are geared towards tourists so wouldnt do these tours too often, but for a lifetime experience, they are good.Guest review byDianneAustralia - 8.0

We visited during the annual festival of flowers.
We visited during the annual festival of flowers. Gardens are lovely. There's also interesting things to do for train enthusiasts. Plenty of shopping and dining options without the stampede of big cities. I was pleasantly surprized by the amount of green spaces and parks. Plenty of space to read a book, picnic or just walk through parks. Lovely museum and cafes to suite your needsGuest review byAnelleAustralia - 10.0

So much to see and great area to go from to visit Emu Park and go on to Yeppoon as a day trip. The Gardens, the zoo , the crocodile park all within a very easy drive from the motel. Great shopping complex and Spot light etc A walk along the Fitzroy river and a coffee and one of the cafes - really relaxed for older visitors.Guest review byDianeAustralia - 10.0
I can understand why this is a busy holiday destination!
I can understand why this is a busy holiday destination! Beautiful town with great restaurants and a superb 4 mile long beach (subsequently named ;-)). The town has such a relaxed feel about it and one could easily laze away the day at a cafe or beach, or take a ship and go out to explore the reef! I will definitely head back for a longer stay in the future!Guest review byDelanoSouth Africa - 10.0

I attended a cricket game at Harrup Park, which I had never been to before. Google maps made it easy to find and the facilities are amazing. One afternoon, I walked the Mackay Bluewater Trail. It was interesting and I felt safe on the trail.Guest review byKENAustralia - 8.0
Hervey Bay is the best place in the world to see Humpback...
Hervey Bay is the best place in the world to see Humpback Whales whether for the juvenials that are people curious (known as August whales) or the Mothers and Calves which arrive from early September through to the end of October. My focus is only on the whales but there are various trips to K'Gari (formerly Fraser Island) either by organised bus tours, self drive or by boat to the West side where kyaking and beach tours plus whale watching in season is available. See Tasman Venture web site for details.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom
