This was the best hotel that we stayed in. The breakfast was delicious the variety of food was good. We really enjoyed the afternoon snack. Dinner was excellent. The room was spacious and very clean. bed and pillows very comfy. Bathroom was also spacious and modern. The location was excellet. The service from all the staff at Hotel Zugspitz was awesome!

Me and my wife traveled with a baby boy 1 year and 10 months old , The hotel exceeded our expectation , For the first time I felt as I owe to them, Staff is very responsive and helpful , I would like specially to thank, Mr Bozilov and Svetlana from reception . We were with breakfast, lunch and dinner . Quality of food is excellent , very delicious , Service in restaurant exceeded my expectation . Location is very quiet , it makes stay relaxing And joyful . Outdoor and indoor space are enough to Serve all needs for all Ages ! We made friends with family from Dortmund , they told me , They like it so much , That they will make this hotel Their annual holiday . So summary we highly recommend this hotel !!! Very walm welcomed, we felt taken care the whole stay. Staff very helpful, open to our needs and kids. The room was wonderfull, large ( separate room for kids is a great idea) with the stunning views of Zugspitze. if it comes to breakfast a lot of choice, the eggs and pancakes made to order. fresh product with local twist. The spa area with the viewing teracce is the top. You can see the whole valley, especially nice at the sunset. I would recommend for romantic or family stay. We will come back for sure

    We had chosen to stay at Das Graseck as part of our honeymoon and it was perfect! The access via the cable car was great fun; the location was breathtakingly beautiful; there was a variety of spa facilities available all of which were very clean and well maintained; you can walk to Partnach Gorge from the hotel; the 4 course meal each night was absolutely wonderful! We couldn't fault the food in anyway. What made this stay even more wonderful was the staff; the staff and team at Das Graseck were lovely, especially since we spoke very little German so they were kind enough to speak in English where possible. Additionally we want to say thank you for upgrading our room as a honeymoon treat. The room we had was absolutely stunning, and we were very grateful. Lastly, I want to make a special mention to 'Robin' who was one of the restaurant staff and who served us for our first two nights; he was very polite and patient, very caring as to when we wanted our next meal and whether there was anything on the menu we didn't want. Robin really stood out to us on our stay in his excellent customer service, so thank you.

    Our Superior room was spacious and had an abundance of storage space. Very good breakfast buffet spread with large variety of cold meats, sausages, breads and salmon. The stop where we could take a free ski bus to the nearest ski slope was also nearby. And we rented our skis and ski boots from the ski depot at that slope and utilised their lockers, costing 8 euros for a couple, to store our skis and boots overnight so as not to have to lug them back to the hotel.

    What we liked the most about was the kindness of the people who worked there. They were always so polite, especially the lady serving the breakfast. It was my husband’s birthday, they noticed it and reserved a table for us, lighted a candle and gave us a sparkling wine.

    Beautiful village, access to Zugspitze, Partnach Gorge, great olde world charm, stunning views, fresh air, great place to holiday and relax. Free buses to get around, great Asian food just around the corner, probably 100 metres and reasonably priced. Great trip to Lindenhof palace and gardens, Zugspitze, Partnach Gorge and Mittenwald Cow Parade, the highlight of my stay in Garmisch Partenkirchen.

    The DE-ticket works between Ehrwald and Garmish, despite that Ehrwald is in Austria, so one can travel freely there. The Zugspitze, Sonnenspitze and other locations are reachable by train/bus/cable car from Ehrwald. The Seebensee is fantastic lake, one can get there by a bus+cable car and using and normal road or a bus and a rather difficult via ferrata. Also there is an indoor climbing (about 15m high) gym with 4 automatic belaying stations in Ehrwald, so one can climb even during bad weather conditions.

    Mittenwald has a lot to offer for all ages and interests. The historical city centre has a number of sights and a good choice of restaurants - for many the real beauty begins once you leave the city. From taking cable cars, walking along the river or through the forest to climbing peaks up to around 2,500 m, the natural surroundings are stunning. The city does a good job at offering public buses that take tourists to the most important sights and trailheads, giving us the chance to leave the car at home and help preserve the gem that Mittenwald is!

    Ettals main, and only, attraction is the Abbey. Which is certainly impressive. You'll most likely visit Ettal for the region, as it is a great point to start your hikes and/or visit Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkichen. Munchen and Innsbruck are only an hour drive away.

    We usually like to visit Lermoos for a short vacation. The best thing about our one night stay this time was the Sevim Holzofen Pizzeria. Awesome food and such a warm welcome. Unfortunately this time we had a very poor experience staying at 'keyone' accommodation.

    Farchant is a great stay if you want to be out of the...

    Farchant is a great stay if you want to be out of the busyness of Garmisch-Partenkirchen but not too far away to be a moment away. Great local food and welcoming people, have been coming here for years and plan to return. The atlas hotel has a great restaurant with lots of choice and it’s easy to get to with the train station from Munich or Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

    We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight...

    We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight in our accommodations. However, it was perfectly located for our planned day trips - visits to the peak of the Zugspitze, nearby alpine lakes, and castle visits (Ehrenberg, Hohenschwangau, and Neuschwanstein), including a walk back and forth over the Highline 179 suspension bridge and ziplining down to the parking lot. If we had had more time, would have spent it exploring Berwang itself. Can't say enough about how beautiful the area is.
