I don't think we have ever eaten as well on a short city break as we did in Dubrovnik. The cafes, restaurants and bars were excellent. We particularly loved the Carmen Trattoria. I would recommend a trip on the cable car for superb views of the city, coast and mountains and a walk around the city walls is a 'must do'. We hired electric bikes and rode across the city, which has lots of historical sites. The people are friendly and welcoming. The food is also amazing here. There are local homemade foods too. Really liked the small old town in Budva. It doesn't get too many tourists ( like Kotor) so is less crowded and more tranquil. I didn't like the fact you had to pay to walk along a part of the walled town. Lovely place that can get very busy when boats are in the dock. It has small streets and this can sometimes be difficult to walk down when thousands of people descend on the city! The surroundings are gorgeous, with some lovely food to be found. The people are very friendly and helpful too. There are numerous people selling boats trips to Perast and other places -- definitely worth it. It is on the pricey side and, because it's quite touristy, there's a lot of ways money is forced out of you. Beware: There's no Uber or Bolt or anything like that, so taxis can charge what they like. They try and charge 15 euros to walk up to the fort (there is a longer way around that is free). Every cash machine charges 5 euros to take any money out, so take some with you, or take large amounts out.Guest review byJosephUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The town was perfect size so walking is easy for everyone. Please note the cobbled streets can be a little slippery so fancy high heeled shoes are a No-No! The local people are kind and friendly and everyone is catered for. Food Places worth eating at:- Pulacinka (Waffle place) Smoked BBQ Rustica It is easy to use the bus service but depending how far you visit they are not very frequent.
