This place is right in town and easy access to shops, breakfast, dinner and the Matakana Saturday Market which was a lot of fun! Wonderful A+ Host.

The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen was clean, tidy and with all the necessary implements to cook. Also, lots of space in fridge and shelves for your food. The bathroom was nice too, hot shower, towel, body wash and clean! And the common areas is just beautiful, with lots of gameboards and a fire pit that should be amazing for cold winters. If I have the opportunity to comeback to Piha, I'll choose Piha backpackers to stay no matter what! Good job Piha Backpackers, wish you the best. :)

We had a cozy stay in this old charming place. When we arrived, the host Mr. John welcomed us even barefoot on rainy day. Ms. Mel also welcomed us with a warm smile. I felt so touched, thank you so much again. The place is very gorgeous, felt like time stopped. I loved all the details. In the morning, lovely breakfast by Mr. John was waiting for us. Thank you for preparing our room as we requested, I really appreciate it. Valet parking was great too. I wish I can go back to this magical place in Auckland in the future. I only had an overnight stop but there was everything available that I needed in a lovely quiet setting. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the back deck where you could view the visiting wildlife and the bush walk down to the beach was handy.
