The food in the restaurant was really good and all cooked fresh to order. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay in Kalpitiya!

The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

The property provides lagoon views. We had a great time…. The place is just amazing.. We wanted to spend a few days to have a rest before another exploring of Sri Lanka… You have to take a boat (5 min) to get to the beach - very good spot for kiting…. We travel with our 8 years old son, so spent couple nice days at the beach. Room was spacious and clean… our special thanks is to Ansalis and Madushan who took an extraordinary care of us and made our stay unforgettable. Bur the whole staff was very friendly and helpful with anything…. THANK YOU 😃

The restaurant has the best food, and the service is really flexible. Shewon was super helpful too. Definitely recommend for a chill getaway! 🌊🏄‍♂️

It is located at a-minute walk away from the Rascals kite surfing school where you can rent equipment, learn how to kite surf and free boat transfer to main kite surfing beach. Yoga classes are available at an extra cost. The property is stunning. The owners Dinesh and Shibi share their home with travellers and make them feel more than welcome, caring for your every need and making sure you have a wonderful time. I unfortunately was sick when I was there so I couldn't make use of the bicycles and kayaks, but I also enjoyed my time resting with a stunning view over the lagoon. The food is fresh and delicious, always made from scratch. Definitely recommend to stay at Anawasal!

The place itself is incredibly beautiful, set right on the serene lagoon, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our entire stay. The service was exceptional—every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They were attentive, friendly, and consistently made us feel genuinely welcomed. One of the highlights of our stay was the food prepared by their amazing chef. After dining at several restaurants in the area, I can confidently say that none matched the quality, taste, or presentation of the meals we enjoyed at Villa Sethawadi. Each dish was expertly crafted, delicious, and beautifully presented. The pool area was inviting and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventures. For kite and windsurfing enthusiasts, Villa Sethawadi is ideally located, allowing easy access directly from the property to the lagoon. A word of caution though—be mindful of the sharp thorns around the area, or better yet, use the hotel's own kite school service, which conveniently takes you by boat to the prime surfing spots on the other side of the lagoon. Overall, our stay at Villa Sethawadi was exceptional. Highly recommended!
