After I booked, I found out that the guesthouse offers breakfast during summer months, which was a big bonus. Breakfast had good varieties of choices and yummy. We did not use sauna/hot tub but it looked awesome- having beautiful views.

A recently renovated apartment, Melancholia apartment offers accommodation in Sauðárkrókur. Featuring sea and mountain views, this apartment also comes with free WiFi. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The location was great, easy to get to the address and inside the house. The view is beautiful. The apartment is cute and spacious, plenty of room to put away your clothes. Well equipped kitchen! The property owner is great at communication and responds quickly. We had a great experience despite the ongoing renovation and construction.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The two cottages that we booked for our family group were perfect for our needs - well appointed and very comfortable. They were a much appreciated stopping off point on our Route 1 road trip and a great opportunity to prepare a few meals for ourselves. The location is stunning and extremely easy to find with plenty of parking.
