It’s also very social and the volunteers, Rishi and Mai, are the a lot of fun and always down for a bonfire, card games or a chat. I can definitely recommend dormigo to anyone lucky enough to find themselves in Bir. It’s also right next to the deer institute for anyone interested in enrolling in a course there.

At the hotel, all rooms come with a wardrobe and a balcony with a river view. Featuring a private bathroom with a bidet and free toiletries, rooms at The Stream Kasol also have a mountain view. The units in the accommodation are equipped with a flat-screen TV and slippers. The location was perfect, little away from all the chaos. I could hear the sound of river and the sunrise in the morning was amazing. There is a sitting area right on the edge from where I could enjoy the flow of water and morning sunrays as well. I loved interacting with the Host Divye who helped me explore other parts of Kasol too. If you are looking for some time off in nature then this is definitely the place to be.

Eevolve Dharamkot - An Eco Hostel features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in McLeod Ganj. I loved everything at Eevolve: room was incredibly comfy and clean, the Cafe served hygienic and tasty food, the staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. All my requests and needs have been responded and handled quickly. The atmosphere at the hostel is immaculate, near an amazing forest, and far from the hustle and bustle of McLeodGanj and a short walk from Dharamkhot center. I wished I could stay more :)

The beds are comfortable and clean with curtains which is great and the food is 10/10

Boasting mountain views, The Unmad - Dharamkot features accommodation with terrace, around 8.8 km from HPCA Stadium. Guests staying at this bed and breakfast have access to a patio. Rooms are equipped with a balcony with city views. Delighted to have found this place. Arranged over four floors, all rooms have outside doors and common balconies with views down the valley. The magic happens in a big area that is mostly open. A cafe that serves excellent and good value food all day. A swing to relax on. Tables with views. Steps pass by the property to other paces higher up the hill, so random people drop in for refreshments and conversations start up between people. The inside part has a very chilled out vibe with low cushions, books, games, telescope and sometimes five sleeping very obedient dogs. All of this is very ably overseen by Krishan and his business partner Aparna. Their concern for the guests shines through. Krishan will sit with you if you want and tell you all about the things to do in the area. He’s a walking encyclopaedia. Krishan’s sister Sakshi runs a cafe up the hill from The Unmad and supplies it with delicious fresh cakes and cookies every morning. Check out the chocolate chip cookies dusted with coconut. The thing I noticed was how many people are returning guests. Always a good indicator. Great job Krishan, Aparna and team. You made my trip more memorable 👏
