Great place in the mountains for hiking and resting near the lakes. Very friendly staff, so helpful and supportive. Amazing cuisine - we did enjoy the food there (all three meals). Views are stunning. The village is quite small, doesn't have a lot of events. Comfy beds, clean shared bathrooms, clean towels. Places to sit and spend time near hotel.

The Hotel Waldegg - Adults only enjoys an elevated south-facing position in Engelberg. It offers panoramic mountain views, a spa area with an indoor pool, and a restaurant. Free Wi-Fi is available, and a free ski bus stops right in front of the hotel in winter. The service was exceptional - from a relaxed glass of champagne on arrival to help putting chains on our car tyres on departure. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated with a stunning view of the mountains and Engelberg. We ate at the Thai restaurant which offers outstanding food and at the European restaurant which has a small but well cooked menu. Breakfast was plentiful with options for high end warm dishes. The infinity pool was amazing with various jets and a separate warmer jacuzzi. The outdoor hot tub and sauna in a cable car cabin felt especially luxurious, surrounded by snow and Christmas lights. The indoor spa (2 saunas, steam room and special showers) is quite small, but during our stay we had it mostly to ourselves. For a romantic and relaxing short stay, it was perfect and we plan to come again!

Make use of our secure and covered parking and keep in contact with friends and family via the free internet access. The centre of the village is reachable within a pleasant 15-minute walk and in winter the ski bus brings you to the train and cable car station for free. The bus station is reachable on foot in 4 minutes. In winter, please take bus stop Heimat, in summer please take bus stop Brunni. Those bus stops also are the correct ones coming from the train station. Central, clean, well provisioned. Excellent communication.

It’s brand new, spotless, and fully equipped with everything you might need. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and there’s even a private parking space available which made everything so convenient. I highly recommend this place — it’s the perfect getaway and I’d love to come back again! ✨
