The moment I arrived at Dinu Lanka I felt like I am visiting relatives. I am so glad I've chosen this place not only because it's really close to the airport (around 6 min ride) but also for how warm they welcomed me. They picked me up at the airport and they helped me organise and bargain for the taxi price to Arugam Bay. The breakfast was very good and the owner is full of knowledge. I wish I had more time to talk to her. It was very convinent that I could pay for the stay and the taxu ride with them with a credit card because I arrived late in the evening and I didn't had any cash on me yet.

We so enjoyed our one evening stay here. Communication with the host beforehand was outstanding and we were greeted in the most lovely manner. Someone carried our luggage upstairs and they had turned the air conditioning on for us after we let them know what time we would be there. I was worried about the airplane noise but the planes were infrequent and didn't wake me up. It was great being so close to the airport for an early morning departure. And the host arranged a transfer for us us that was stress-free and affordable. The apartment is clean and spacious and after an 8-day bicycle trip, we were able to do a load of washing which made the smell of our luggage for our further travels much more pleasant! 🙂 The host gave us restaurant recommendations and we were able to walk to have dinner and pick up some things at the supermarket. That being said, the kitchen is well stocked with snacks and drinks at extremely fair prices so if you don't feel like going out, you won't go hungry! I would not hesitate to stay here again. I was worried at first but reading the reviews about how clean it is, I relaxed a little and it was great! Oh, yeah, the WiFi was the best we had all trip!
