Lovely dining room for breakfast, staff very kind & helpful carrying our bags. We were given an upgrade to a superior room. Nice garden area outside room with chairs & a table under a tree that provided nice shade. Nice swimming pool. One of the nicest places we have stayed. My photos don’t do it justice.

This place is something else! Tranquil paradise in Umbria with lovely views. Traditional but modern interior which includes some furniture pieces hand made by the host Alessandro who has been wonderful with us. Such a lovely little house. Perfect for our honeymoon suite. It has everything you could ever need with the modern cosy kitcher, double shower, massive bath tub and sauna plus a very nice little patio with fairy lights which was a lovely touch! 2 nights was not long enough to fully enjoy it but it really kicked off our honeymoon on a lovely foot! Thank you for the amazing stay!

Everything was amazing! It’s even better than the pictures. It’s super clean and modern but keeping a classic stone look house. The garden is meticulously taken care as well as every single detail of the property. But the best, it’s Massimiliano and Elisabetta: They put the cherry on top with all their advice and special attention to make your holiday a dream come true!

    We absolutely loved Borgo Petroro for many reasons - it's fabulous location in the middle of the beautiful, quiet Umbrian countryside, it's amazing historical and clean visual appeal, the relaxing garden and other lovely areas to sit, the bikes to hire for a wonderful safe ride with amazing views, the great breakfast with plenty of variety, the castle cat, our enormous suite, the most enjoyable evening meals and the very attentive, friendly restaurant manager Mansour!!

    From beginning to end, our stay at Borgo Petroro was truly great! The location is stunning and we had a beautiful view across the hills from our room. We were well taken care of by the attentive and friendly staff throughout our stay. We loved our time in Umbria and this was a great base from which to explore!!

    Perfect suite, comfortable, clean and cozy, fully equipped! Bed was super comfy. Attention to details is on the next level. Being pet friendly is a huge plus, although I didn't travel with one.
