They took really good care, when there was no bottled water they went out in the middle of the night to get it. It was a nice chilling place, the music was kept down to the minimum. I got all the info I needed on how to get around. The bus was particularly useful to get to town. There was a lovely natural pool of water few hundred meters away and there were other places within easy reach to swim.

This is a wonderful hotel on the North end of town, a 15 min walk to the airport and approx 15 min walk from the port or Parque Santander to see the parrots at twilight. The facilites are very clean (one of the cleanest floors I've seen anywhere in the world!) and whoever makes the beds could win competitions. The AC and fans in the room were incredible after a few days in the Amazon. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits, jugo, eggs, bread and coffee. The supermercado Hiper is very close which was very convenient for supplies. There is a military academy and Red Cross office nearby and the area felt safe, even for a solo female traveller. The highlight is the staff - I had one of the warmest welcomes I have had in Colombia, and felt very well cared for by all the staff. The dog Waira is a real cutie. It's a cery beautiful home and the host was very helpful and caring. Maricela tried to help us with our travel plans and gave us a lot tips and contacts to help us. The pool was really amazing in this hot weather. The room and the bathroom was clean. The area was 15min walk from the center. So it was calm and good to relax and get a good night sleep.

The location in a private reserve was great. Was very peaceful and very relaxing to fall asleep to the sounds of the reserve. Very easy to get to from town. The km11 bus stops right in front of the hostel. Buses go past every 20-30mins. Hosts were very welcoming and assisted with organising a night tour last minute. Also offered a bike for use to explore the area.
