The location is in a village and there is free parking directly opposite about 20 minutes to Zug Monday the restaurant is closed so there is no servicing of the rooms on that day only which is perfectly reasonable being an independent guest house. We had a lovely meal one evening but chose not to have breakfast as we were with friends nearby the majority of the time. The best thing though for people with mobility issues, there is a lift to all floors which we required. This is often not made clear or mentioned in reviews in my experience. There is a well stocked supermarket 30 seconds away. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Exceptional service, thanks to Hotel Manager Olena. She took care of us during our entire stay. We were also offered an upgraded room and additional amenities. Highly competent staff. Attention to detail, individual care for each guest. Compliments from the hotel and gifts. We will definitely come again. Highly recommended for family travel, comfortable with children. The welcome you get in City Hotel Ochsen is what would make you come back ! The little things they do great - requesting a little jug of milk when you arrive late is no problem will deliver to your room , to showing you the map of Zug. Both the man and lady on reception are brilliant and should be commended , same with the owner whom I met one of the nights . Better than any of the more expensive hotels in Zug which I’ve stayed at ! I will be back ! Rooms are well laid out , clean and cosy with beautiful modern bathroom - a pleasure .

Beautiful setting with the Suisse Alps as background. Quaint atmosphere being in a former monastery turned education and retreat center. Food in the little cafe-restaurant excellent. Definitely would stop there again if in the neighborhood.
