We recently had the pleasure of staying at KAILASH BOUTIQUE HOTEL in Thamel, Kathmandu, a true gem nestled in a vibrant location. From the clean, comfortable rooms to the exquisite cuisine (better than the local restaurants we visited!), every aspect of our stay was designed for relaxation and delight. However, what truly set our experience apart was the extraordinary presence of the manager, Dol. From the moment we arrived, Dol exuded warmth, kindness, and an unmistakable passion for hospitality. With decades of experience as a trekking guide, his vast knowledge and resourcefulness was evident in every interaction. His mastery of professionalism, practicality, good sense and great humour is rare even in 5-star deluxe hotel managers. There are many excellent hotel managers out there, but Dol goes above and beyond what can be learned. He welcomed us not merely as guests, but as friends, and he made us feel like our comfort and well-being were among his highest priorities. His genuine care helped make our our stay a memorable journey of discovery and delight. Dol's wisdom and generous spirit provided not only exceptional service but also an inspiring reminder of the beauty of human connection.
