We spent 2 nights at Royal Rock and had the best time! The staff took such good care of us from the moment we arrived, Suji, Jay and Sana especially, but everyone was so kind and helpful. They have a small van to easily drive you into town or to activities and to pick you up whenever you’re finished. Sana recommended several local activities and took us to beautiful photo spots. The hotel room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the view of Lion Rock our bed was magical. There is a restaurant on site and the pool was refreshing after hiking up Lion Rock on a hot day. Seriously one of the best places we’ve ever stayed! 10/10

After 2 weeks exploring Sri Lanka this stay stood out from all others. First, I can’t imagine a better location to the two key sites, the most famous being Lions Rock. When we arrived we immediately felt cared for, safe and comfortable. The grounds are an oasis of tropical plants and the pool was a welcome respite from the heat. Our beds were just the right firmness and the rooms were very specious and clean. The staff is very responsive and helped us in numerous way have a great visit to the Sigiriya surroundings. I learned from a driver how the owner cares for his team, helping them financially when times were bad during COVID and other problems in the country. Absolutely stellar experience.

El Sigiriya Water Cottage, situado en Sigiriya, 3,4 km de la roca de Sigiriya, ofrece parrilla, solárium y restaurante. Loved this this laid-back place, just outside Sigiriya. The family helped us arrange a tuktuk in the early hours for the hike up Pidurangala Rock and recommended visiting Sigiriya Rock for sunset, which was amazing. The cottage was comfortable, the pool fantastic on these hot, sultry December days, and the wildlife amazing: monkeys, peacocks, and nearby elephants which we glimpsed in the dark. Best of all was the delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food, and the kind and friendly family. It is a little way out of the village but this is easily accessed by tuktuk. It is Aldo nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

Honestly one of the best places I've stayed in my whole trip. Very beautiful place with delicious breakfast. The owner was incredibly nice. He took me to Pindurangala rock early in the morning, arranged my Jeep safari tour and even took me to bus station at my departure. Would defenetly 100% recommend. The best place.

Sigiri Saman Home Stay tiene alojamiento con restaurante, un jardín, salón compartido y una terraza. Sigiriya Rock queda a 15 minutos a pie de distancia. Extremely value for money. Saman and family’s hospitality made me a lone traveller very welcomed . He is able to arrange activities for you . And great breakfast !

The room was simple, but clean and with A/C. WiFi was working fine as well Swimming pool after the day of hiking and sightseeing is exactly what was helpful. Breakfast and dinner were good as well. The personal was very helpful and supportive.

Lion See Hotel - Sigiriya está ubicado en Sigiriya, a 2,5 km de Sigiriya Rock, y tiene alojamiento con una pileta al aire libre, estacionamiento privado gratis, un jardín y una terraza. El alojamiento es genial. El dueño es súper amable y te ayuda en todo lo que puede. La habitación era grande, bonita y muy limpia. Camas y almohadas muy cómodas. El baño muy bien, ducha con mucha presión. Nuestra estancia coincidió con el año nuevo cingales y nos preparó un desayuno con comida típica de Sri Lanka, un detallazo. Estás sólo a 10min caminando del centro y en bici o tuk tuk llegas en nada a las rocas. Estuvimos muy a gusto aquí, repetiríamos!
