The overall vibe of the hotel is modern and cozy. Short walk from Yamagata station and 7-11 down stairs is a plus.

Located in Matsushima, 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Matsushima Koumura features accommodation with a hot tub and a public bath. There is a private entrance at the ryokan for the convenience of those who stay. The ryokan provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to, and the inn made for a great stay. Also the sentō baths were a welcome addition and were nice for relaxing into! The area is calm (for which the only downside is that there isn't a lot of choice for restaurants around), close to transportation and good for sightseeing around Mastushima — we took the sightseeing ferry around the bay and had a great time.

I love the room as it is very comfortable and spacious. Location is heart to everything. Its in the Aomori ststion with department store underneath. You can also walk to fish market, ferry, hokkodamuru and paper lamp museum from the hotel. Its very convenient.

ユニテ蔵王ジョーニダ リゾート is a recently renovated apartment in Yamagata, near Zao Onsen Ski Resort. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The apartment has a hot tub and room service. The hotel is pretty and pleasant, and check-in was straight forward. The room was well-designed and comfortable, and parking was convenient. They also provided a free ticket to the public onsens in town, which was a nice touch, and a light breakfast for free as well (tea/coffee/juices with small croissants and cake, which were suprisingly tasty).

かぐら庵 is situated in Kitakata, 22 km from Mount Iimori, 38 km from Mount Bandai, as well as 23 km from Aizuwakamatsu Castle. The air-conditioned accommodation is 1.4 km from Kitakata Station, and guests can benefit from on-site private parking and complimentary WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 20 km from Aizuwakamatsu Station. The host was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay, and the location was very central!

Dormy Inn Aomori Natural Hot Spring is set in Aomori, 6 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 43 km from Tsuta Hot Spring. With a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Private parking is available on site. Onsen and massage chair were unable to miss! On top of that, there are free half-size ramen and ice-cream at night. Breakfast is the best. My husband really liked to have Nuttö together with half-boiled eggs. I loved sashimi bowl with buffet scallops and maguro. Fried scallop and shrimp together with mustard and the clam miso soup were very amazing. One more thing was the apple juice made by famous apple from Aomori.
