The hotel is really beautiful. It is brand new (they opened in December 24), so everything in the rooms works and is new as well. The hotel is a bit away from the busy tourist center (about 15 min walk on the beach) but there are nice bars and restaurants in the area as well. Every night kids come out to play soccer on the beach and with the lights it‘s just magical. The team is so kind, we were very happy to stay here! Prices are fair as well, the fish is always fresh (you can see the fisherman bringing it every morning) and the team can help you with everything. We would love to stay here again.

Our stay at this resort in Zanzibar was nothing short of perfect. Nestled in the lively energy of Nungwi, the resort felt like a serene haven — calm, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home. Their attention to detail was exceptional, always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The service was flawless — warm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. As a vegan, I was especially impressed by how attentive the kitchen staff were to my dietary needs. Every day, they surprised me with creative, delicious, and beautifully presented plant-based dishes, each one different from the last. It was clear they took great care and pride in offering something special. This place is truly a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you for an unforgettable experience — we can’t wait to come back!

Our stay at Kendwa Breeze truly felt like visiting a friend! This small, cozy, and tastefully designed hotel has only four rooms, giving it a very warm atmosphere. The owners, Elizabeth and Alex, along with all the staff, are extremely helpful and friendly. One of the highlights of our visit was definitely Scooby, their dog. The breakfast is big and delicious. While there is a bit of a walk to the beach, it’s manageable if you don’t have mobility difficulties. Kendwa Beach is beautiful and unaffected by the tides, so you can swim all day. There are many water sports available, and Elizabeth kindly helped us arrange them in advance. Highly recommended! 🐾

Light of Zanzibar Hotel is located just a 2-5 minutes walk from the stunning Nungwi Beach (depending if you go through the town or straight to the beach). It has everything you might need, comfortable beds, hot water, mosquito nets and AC. There is a fridge outside your room which you share with the two other rooms on your floor to keep your water nice and cold. Paul and all the other staff are absolutely wonderful, kind and very helpful, just ask if you need anything, they will definitely do all they can to help you out. The served breakfast is always delicious, it varies a little every day so you never eat the same thing. Once we had to take our breakfast an hour early and everyone was so nice that we left with satisfied stomachs. If were ever back to Zanzibar, we’ll stay here again!
