Everything - the staff couldn't have been more accommodating (even drove us to our next stop). Food was lovely - breakfast epic (so come hungry!), room huge and pristine. Grounds beautifully kept. Bed so comfy I slept ten hours straight! Be aware they speak very little English but are happy to "discuss" via Google translate. The pool was delightful. Free bike loan and within a 5 minute cycle of the amazing botanic gardens.

Before checking into Ascott, I had never stayed at an Ascott property nor had i ever heard of the brand prior to booking. I had this image of the property in my mind and honestly my expectations weren't too high. But let me tell you, all that flew out the window the moment i arrived. The property itself was very clean and well maintained and the facilities was modern and luxurious, i was thoroughly impressed. My check in was quite pleasant and the room that i booked was just like it was online, thank goodness!!! A special shout out to our housekeeping lady, i think her name was Bruha. She really made our stay not only a comfortable one, but also a memorable one.

- The location is one of the best since it is close to both sides of Bangkok city, old and new. Although it is not adjacent to any BTS stations, Shama is close to the main street and it is quite easy to hail a cab. - It is within walking distance to many nice restaurants, cafes, and a big supermarket. Perfect for your rest days or quick grabs of food or amenities. - The room is quite spacious considering the price and location of the hotel. It is comfortable and definitely exceeded my expectations for a place to sleep since I mostly spend my time exploring the city. - Laundry room and working space are nice touch even though I never used them.
