Loved the rooms as it was spacious. It was a last minute booking as the previous booking was in so disappointing and we just had to check out immediately. And we glad we did! Beds were comfy and suprised to find fresh fruits in the rooms. Everything was great cept for some wild animal poop on the balcony area. Breakfast was not too bad. Not much choices but it was good enough. Pool was under renovation when we were there so cant comment on that. Staff was friendly and always greeting us. We have a 2yr old with us so walking to the shops etc wasnt ideal as no pathway.

They spoiled us with so much kindness and care, from the peaceful breakfasts to the special little gestures for my partner’s birthday…something we’ll never forget. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with what really matters. We even started our 2 AM hike to Mount Batur from here, and coming back to the stillness of the resort and the smiles of the staff was just what we needed. If you’re looking for a place with soul—honest, intimate, and full of Balinese charm—this is it. We’d come back a thousand times over. Huge thanks to all the legends we met at Rumah Kayu. Absolutely everything! Villa was breathtaking, pool & outside area with our private garden & amazing services. Every morning fresh fruit was delivered to our villa. Scent in the whole area was so delightful. Every night they were bringing a mosquito repellent to our garden & good night story with water supplies. Restaurant & breakfast were one of the best we had in Indonesia 🇮🇩 5* well deserved!

    This villa is located in a serene area surrounded with paddy terrace. The road is accessible via car and there’s parking lot beside the villa. Everything I need during my stay was available. Wayan and Desi always helpful and ready to assist anytime. Breakfast choice was great, and the pool too! Had a great stay to relax and unwind, and totally recommended this villa!

    Very nice hotel in the very center. Maybe not the most luxurious, but very cozy! The very friendly staff allowed us to leave our car in the hotel parking lot for free to walk around the Streets of Ubud for a couple of hours. They allowed the children to stay by the pool for a few hours after check out. It was very nice to have such a friendly attitude!
