Ponte Porton is an attractive building just off the small road to Buje, set against the hillside with poplar forests to one side. We found it peaceful and quiet, despite the frequent visitors coming to eat. Nightingale song was a constant backdrop. Our charming hostess could not have been more welcoming and helpful: nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts gave a huge choice, with hot and cold food, local hams and cheeses, and freshly-cooked pies and bruschettas. The evening menu in the restaurant included the typical Istrian pasta and meat dishes (which were delicious), plus a vegan/coeliac menu: vegetarians can’t do too well in Croatia, so they will be pleased to stay here!

Lovely location. Hosts were super accommodating and even met us with some house wine. We speak English and they did a great job of translating and navigating the language barrier. Lovely places to walk around and drive to nearby towns.

The bedroom was spacious, all fabrics new and tasteful. High level of cleanliness. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were stopping en route to Pula. We walked a bit of the local cycle/walking path which had great views and was peaceful. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel was by far the best meal we had in Croatia. A very high level of cooking skills. As a vegetarian there was enough for me to choose from. My meat eating partner has not stopped talking about his fish starter.

Absolutely everything. Top 3 hosts I have ever had. It's so rare to find hosts who are so caring, kind, and good. Immediately after the arrival we were treated with homemade beverages.The surrounding of the place looks magical! I would love to spend more time there. When it comes to clineliness, it was pristine.

    Very convenient location with free parking. Easy walk into the town for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. The hosts were very nice, welcoming and it was very pleasant to sit out and relax in the garden. The apartment is small and fairly basic, but that was as expected. It still had everything we needed. Everywhere was clean and the bed was comfortable.
