The location is as good as it gets, quiet, beautiful views, beautiful garden and just 5 m walk from an excellent taverna ! Truly exceptional location. The house itself is as charming as they come, like a little house out of old fairy tales, lots of character, not like a generic Ikea furnished room :-) And I have to mention the host, Agatha and her husband, as sweet and helpful as I have met. The atmosphere at this hostel is absolutely spectacular, managing to achieve the best of both wolrlds - it's simultaneously easy to meet and socialize with other travelers, or to have some space to yourself when you want it. There are truly few accomodations in the world where I've felt more comfortable. Pair that with its fabulous location in Meteora, and I found myself staying almost a week in a place I had meant to be in for less than 48 hours. The facilities are exactly what I hope for whenever I visit a new hostel. The common area is comfortable and spacious with plenty of tables and seating, there's a well-equipped communal kitchen, and the dorm rooms are bright and airy with lockers (for no extra charge). And the beds have curtains!! The hostel is well situated for hiking the many trails in the area, and they also organize group walks up to the monasteries. Since there's so much to see in the area when exploring by foot, it's very easy to recommend staying here for a few days to see everything. Finally, the owner is a good-humored and friendly man. The second I walked in the door and sat down at the reception desk to check in, I felt totally welcomed. It's clear that he puts a lot of effort into running the hostel (I saw him cleaning, being friendly and chatting with guests, and working at the reception), and he also hand picks the volunteering staff, who were great as well. It all really shows!

Near the monasteries (which means further from the bus station. it’s a trade off) very big common area (but I didn’t use it because time flies) very warm, nice big balcony (no nice view from my room, but that was exactly as stated in the room name) very kind husband and wife pair that told me plenty of information and gave me a map Meteora itself is stunning and definitely worth a visit!
