If you want to stay in Elephantine Island, The Mango Guest house is the best you can get! It's a beautifully built and maintained place with a lovely garden to sit in and have your drinks. The location is also good as it's only a short walk from the boat dock. The WiFi worked well in the room and the room was exactly what you see in their pictures. There is self service on drinks and you can also order food which they get you from outside. They also have a laundry service. Strongly recommended!

I am a regular customer of this hotel I have been at this hotel also a couple of times in the past and I always choose this hotel in Aswan because if it's great location. Certainly! Very nice place! The owner picked me up at the ferry stop with his private boat, which is much easier than taking my bags and walking to the place (there's no transit options but your feet on Elephantine island) Very clear room. Great shower, great wifi, great AC. Elephantine island is very lovely, quiet and peaceful. Free homemade breakfast is lovely as well. Highly recommend 👍🏻

Location was prefect right on the Nile facing the Aga Khan Mausoliam. Ahmed picked us from the railway station early in the morning and cooked us a perfect egyptian breakfast. He was a gentleman and most helpful host. He arranged all our taxis, boat rides even went and bought our return train tickets and saw as off.

The location is amazing, a <5 minute walk from the ferries to go to the east side of Aswan. The room is quite adequate, with good shower and comfortable bed. It got a little cold at night, but I found an extra blanket in the wardrobe, so everything was good. There was free tea and coffee in the common area, and it was really nice being able to socialize with the other guests at the hotel. Habib owns both this property and one next to it, and breakfast is on the roof of the other property. Habib was very accommodating and lent me a charger when I noticed that I had left mine on a dahabiya boat. There are a few dogs around, but Habib and his staff were happy to walk me to places when I asked. I felt very safe staying at Habib's place. I would stay there again the next time I visit Aswan.

Wonderful and breathtaking view of the Nile, a nice green territory with a pool, a spacious clean room, good breakfast, buffet or a la carte lunch is also available (for extra price), very friendly stuff at the reception. Not far from the Nubian Museum, Unfinished Obelisk and 15 min walk to the Corniche of Aswan, where you can experience an amazing felucca ride. The hotel kindly arranged for us 2 trips to Abu Simbel and to Luxor with three stops at Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna temples with the private driver Mario. Mario is a super nice, English speaking, professional, confident and careful driver, he had a new, clean and comfortable car. Mario made our trips perfect, unforgettable and memorable. We had an interesting chat with him about Egypt, history and sights during our trip. We would recommend Mario and Basma Hotel to our friends!
