The hotel itself is very charming in an interesting location, heart of Nubian village, river front. The room was comfy and very clean, exactly like in the photos. We felt very relaxed and welcomed. The room was silent good sound isolation, we’ve stayed at the last room of the hotel corridor. The restaurant was excellent, big portions, great fresh local products, exquisite cuisine. It was the best kebab we had in Egypt. It has also beautiful views to the River. First, we came from Cairo with some stomach illness and the manager of the hotel Samir and all hotel staff did everything to make us felt better, he even went to a drugstore and bought us medicine and gave us as a gift. Thank you very Samir and Hamo, restaurant manager, your sympathy and attention made all the difference. Hamo also offered us local tea for all discomfort every day and it has helped a lot. Samir booked some transfers for us, they were all good and responsible drivers. Last, we had to leave the hotel early morning for a trip and they prepared us a breakfast box, with good variety and quality products, even boiled eggs. I don’t understand why other guests complain about it. Bottom line, I loved it and totally recommend.

the hotel is located on the quiet side of the island so you don't feel the smog and dust! the ferry between the island and the city runs every 10 minutes and costs about 0.2 USD (January 2025) there is a shop and a restaurant on the island but I recommend eating at the hotel because Mr. Omar is a great cook (the food is delicious and we didn't have any stomach problems even eating raw vegetables). Mr. Omar arranged all the trips for us (Abu simbel, Phile and transport from the airport and to Luxor) at unbeatable prices and without haggling. the contact with the host is great. he replies quickly on WhatsApp.

Rewa and her family were so kind and welcoming. Airkela guest house is conveniently located just a few metres from the ferry pier on Elephantine Island. The room was spotlessly clean, with an amazing view over the Nile. Breakfast was superb. We would highly recommend. The owner Syed was very helpful during our stay.He given us taxi in very reasonable rate and all the driver were excellent.He ensured our safety and track until we reached the hotel. Facility was excellent and staff is like a family. Beautiful location in front of Phillai temple. He given us ride to Phillai temple in his own boat. Food was excellent. Habib is a very welcoming, helpful, and kind host, always available to solve any queries. He and his staff made us feel like at home, they went the extra mile to support us with the organization of visits and thanks to it we spent a great time in Aswan. On arrival, he let us choose from two different rooms, we were glad to have one connected to the terrace with a stunning view to the Nile river and the other bank of the city. The hotel has an excellent location, far from the noises of the city and about a ten minute walk from the tomb of nobles and to the public ferry dock. It is very easy and cheap to get there from the ferry boat west bank that is located five minutes from the Aswan railway station. The room was very cozy, it had a comfortable bed, modern AC and the water pressure was good.
