We just needed a place to stay and didn't have expectations, but as soon as we arrived there we were discussing changing our next day's travel plans in order to stay there longer! The lodging was gorgeous, well thought out and comfortable, with amenities you rarely find in a privately hosted accommodation, like a heated pool! The location is rural and very peaceful, with beautiful views of the Belgian countryside. We were thrilled to see some Shetland ponies when we went out to the terrace for breakfast! The best part of the stay was our host, Lien, who was so friendly and gracious! We would make every effort to stay there again next time we visit Belgium!

The house was very spacious, well equipped with all kitchen items, plates, glasses, cutlery, utensils. The dining area was great, chairs comfortable. The sofa was lovely and the TV a great size. Two large bedrooms and a play area downstairs. Access to the pool onsite was good. The bathroom upstairs was great and very spacious, the bath was beautiful and deep and we had many relaxing evenings. The house, even on very hot/warm days is so cool temperature wise. Towels provided. The Staden area has a launderette we used in the week. Parking for 4 cars. Outdoor eating /seating area. Everything was class. Tom is an incredible host and whenever we needed anything he was able to support us in a prompt manner. Were hoping to come back again!

Clean, comfortable big bed, nice shower, continental only breakfast has to be eaten in room (ham, cheese, bread, cereal etc) and good coffee maker in room. Free parking in car park directly opposite. Close to Ypres and other historic areas by car.

extremely cozy, the most tidy accomodation you can imagine! Chris was such a special host, so nice, tender..i felt like home even when business travelling! The best breakfast ever - so many options, home made delicacies with perfect garden view..and the bed - memory foam experience, darkening shutters, huge bathroom with private inftasauna. When biz travelling again to the same location (or actually anywhere in radius of 100km), always staying at Chris’ Bergdal 66. 20/10 <3

    Location was perfect - Staden is a lovely small town and close to the WW1 battlefields which was the main reason for our visit. Jo and his wife were excellent hosts, waiting for us when we arrived to show us round and where everything was . The house was spotlessly clean and perfect for a large group. There are four private parking spaces at the rear of the house and a lovely garden. Would definitely recommend!
