The hotel was very clean both in the public areas and the hotel room! Staff was very kind and professional. They were very accommodating and well versed in different languages. Very foreign and local people friendly.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 400 metres from Gion Shijo Station. The beds were super comfortable. We loved the free matcha coffee maker on the 9th floor and the free treats there. Also the onsen experience was very good and not intimidating. Clean and easy facilities to use. The supplied robes were quite lovely. Staff was super friendly. Location is fantastic for great shopping and not far from various temples by taxi. Really fun organic/specialty grocery store across the street. Pretty view from the rooftop bar (which also boasts a foot soak option!). Good powerful shower and nice smelling bathroom amenities.

The hot springs are relaxing and spacious! We stayed at Family room and it was great for family gathering. The breakfast has so many variety of food.

The onsen, the midnight meal, and the tatami-style interior and room were amazing. Just one thing to mention—the room temperature was quite hot for us, even after turning off the heater. Maybe it was because our room was located just above the onsen. We definitely re-booking at another Onyado Nono hotel in another city.

Get a pass to the various onsens in Kinosaki, and get to walk around town in a yukata. Kinosaki was an awesome town to wander around.

First of all, the room is really good, like no joke. The bamboo outdoor bathtub is amazing, I was so excited when I saw it! The photo does not show how good it is, highly recommended to check it out in person. The moment you walk in the hotel, it feels like you're back home to relieve all your tension, the traditional layout of the room makes me feel super comfy. Every corner is clean, they do care about the details. They make your bed when you're eating dinner or walking around in Arimaonsen areas. Smooth transition into sleeping mode. The TV has smart features so you can watch YouTube or connect your device to play something. The public onsen is great, definitely worth trying it out at night. It wasn't really crowded and the environment is better than the ones on the street.

It is very peaceful and a nice 15 minute walk to many restaurants and beach. The staff made us feel so welcome. The bakery is top notch. I have had very delicious baked goods in multiple European countries, and this is right up there. We thought at first the mattress was a little firm(this seems standard in Japan), but ended up sleeping well.
