I didn’t regret for booking 2N here. It’s not cheap but there’s some which are even more expensive… We paid ¥58908 half board ( dinner +breakfast) each night for a couple. They’ve a welcome drink ( apple juice n coffee) daily. There’s a large relaxing room with comfortable chairs for you to admire the garden n ice-creams ( though very small ones) provided n water . We were given 15 min onsen free for couple-room which you can paid for 1-hr usage if you like to spend longer time with your spouse. They’ve gender segregated onsen for hotel guests free. The meals are just heavenly. Staff are helpful n friendly n can speak some English ( very important for non-locals like us who don’t speak n understand Japanese ) Definitely will come back if visiting this place again. Lastly want to thank Tsuta Onsen Ryokan and Booking.com for their alliance together so that I can book confidently without worry ( some ryokans only book via their website n it’s all in Japanese 😅🤣🥹) . Always Booking.com is my FIRST CHOICE in all my booking for hotel stay as they presented the important n relevant information clearly. Deep in the mountains in winter with lots of snow and a beautiful rotenburo- outside bath - the location was perfect. Fantastic meals with a delicious Kaiseji meal for dinner and a traditional Japanese buffet for breakfast. The staff were very helpful especially the gentleman who assisted us at check in.

The interior is a little dated and the rooms a bit retro, but it is very quiet, inexpensive, has beautiful surroundings, and a great selection of onsen. In the evening I used the outdoor onsen and enjoyed the full moon. The next morning I used the indoor and met some friendly locals.

Good size rooms, nice onsen, right by chair lift / rope way and spaces to hang out with a group. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Staff were friendly and offered to drive us to another ski field when the ropeway was closed.

It is a family run amall inn. We had half board n the food for bothdiner n bf was so good n sumptuous. The charges were well worth and location was so convenient that is just at the beginning of oirase gorge.
