You could have a cold beer and look at the trains. The hot spring baths view on the top floor was superb with the town, Mt Fugi, shinkansens etc on view from the bath. Mishima is a great place to explore and keep walking to see after you see the gardens etc. I walked through many neighborhoods and saw many wonderful, shops, houses, parks, canals, local people.
