El Rain Forest Inn está situado en Bertam Valley, en una selva frondosa y junto a unas cascadas. Ofrece habitaciones construidas por lugareños con vistas a la naturaleza de los alrededores. We stayed here 5 nights and we wished we could stay longer. The location is amazing, in the middle of the forest, next to the river and waterfall. Gee was an incredible host, he loves telling stories and explaining things about the native way of life, which we enjoyed much. He organized food, tours and transfers (From KL to rain forest inn and from Rain forest Inn to Penang) for us. Hiking with Muin was the best, we did the four hours trek and the one next to the waterfall, wished we could do the 8 or 10 hours hike with him, maybe one day.

Housed in a charming English cottage, The Bala's Holiday Chalet is located on a private hill away from bustling city life. It offers a restaurant and homely rooms with free Wi-Fi. Wow, what a place! It truly gives off a Scottish vibe — from the cozy ambiance to the charming little details scattered all around. You can feel the owner’s passion in every corner, with carefully arranged decor, unique statues, and personal touches that create such a warm and inviting atmosphere. We stayed in the suite room, which was absolutely lovely. However, the breakfast was a bit pricey for the portion size. Still, the overall experience was unique and memorable — definitely a spot worth visiting for those who appreciate character and charm!
